The mental health thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I've got tourettes.

Man, not being actually connected to people let's your mind drift far and fast. You mean nothing, everything good will leave you and then you die. And good luck finding anything truly good.

Real real low.

Wait, you have been Dx'd for tourettes? When did this happen?

I've always had a tick and it's gotten worse. I could barely run on the treadmill tonight. Sometimes I'll stop breathing until I scratch the itch the right way and I don't realize it until I'm completely out of breath

Are you under extraordinary or new stress?

Nope. this has been progressing for awhile. Been getting really bad the last couple Months.

When did these tics first manifest?

This sounds more like Lyme Disease.

Sorry. It was just there. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Ayye join the club bro! Haha. 15 seems late to develop symptoms, or at least from the Internet research I've done.
So what can ya do?

It's not life threatening but it's not exactly fun either.

I just deal with it really. It sucks but it's not so bad most of the time. The worst part was getting made fun of back in middle school/early high school. Once I got out of that environment no one really noticed anymkre. When I was first diagnosed the doctors tried getting me to take medication but I didn't want to fuck with any of that.

I think there is medication for it, not sure how effective it is though.

I’m another one that’s part of the club! Like you said, grade school/middle school kind of sucked, but I was fortunate to have a somewhat mild case. It was worse when I was younger, but it’s all but gone away now. It only really comes out when I’m really excited about something, and I just unload a stream of ticks. I try to hold it in until I’m alone though.

That's usually what I try to do too. Every now and then it'll be kinda bad but it's pretty random. I'm glad I don't blurt out swear words like the guy from YouTube lol.
