The Official Game of Thrones [A Song of Ice and Fire] Thread (includes spoilers)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
It's Dragonstone.

Actually, it was you thrice-damned Baratheons who trespassed on that Targaeryen land in the first place. And now that all three of you have met your well-deserved ends, it is back in the hands of its rightful rulers.

I'm in a drive-thru right now at Chick-fil-A and just got caught staring at this fucking hot girl through the glass window and I probably look like such a douche cause I'm in a cut-off.

How this relates to GoT is I feel like Cersei in the walk of atonement right now.

In 50 degree weather...

This fucking guy.

Plot leaks might be true unfortunately. Damn me for reading them.

I didn't read them, but it does make sense I guess. He can't go back to the Lannisters, and at this point the Starks are really the only other game in town. Plus he has some history with both Sansa and Arya. We know for a fact that Arya doesn't hate him (she got slapped as a liar for saying so at one point), and I doubt Sansa does either since he was always halfway decent toward her compared to most other Lannister people.

The most interesting photo is the Hound riding with Stark soldiers.

Thought that was telegraphed at the end of last season when he met Beric Dondarrion again.

Love Dondarrion as a character at this point as well. In a weird way, he's the closest link remaining to Ned Stark as Hand.

The question is, in the books he brought back Cat now do we see a return of Lady Stoneheart? Also how nuts has Euron gone and to the same extent Dany? You see her slowly developing the same madness as other Targs as well.

I think unCat is not happening -- it wouldn't make sense to show her now when we didn't hear/see any reference to her in the years since she's died.

I don't think Danys has yet shown any real sign of Targaeryan insanity, though nothing says they can't toss that into the mix now if they so choose.

I honestly feel a bit let down by this whole thing. I can't really fault what the showrunners have done for the most part, but the story is starting to feel a bit thin compared to what I think the books would have said if they were ever written. And I'm someone who is pretty critical of the direction of the written series post ASOS. Maybe it just doesn't feel like it is going to measure up to what I thought it would be at that point.

My perspective may be a bit different from most given that I read these books from when they first came out, met and corresponded with GRRM some back in those early days, etc.. Maybe it's just a function of seeing something like this come to an end at all that is the issue, even though his snail-pace and filler has been annoying as hell.

Basically the killing of the Dothraki Lords setting the place on fire. She is starting to show it (the books have it worse for her).

I am wondering what Bran's role is in this situation. Does he help Jon, Sansa and the north? Was he corrupted by the visions he had seen? Does Jamie off Cersei or does Arya off her (please let it be Arya)
