The Official Game of Thrones [A Song of Ice and Fire] Thread (includes spoilers)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Eh...I could see it being the moment when he finally takes back himself after Ramsay tortured the Theon out of him and he kills Euron, who is a similar character to Ramsay.

Doesnt really fit with him stumbling and collapsing in despair on the beach, but we'll see.

Could be one of those movie "last stand" moments where you think the good guy is fucked but he finds a way to kill the bad guy.

I don't know if Theon dies, but I'm pretty confident Euron wins whatever war at sea that is. I'm guessing Theon and Yara lead a fleet to fight off Euron while Dany and her main army sale for Kings Landing or something along those lines. And judging by the trailer, Euron wins, and I think that's logical, because I expect Euron to be an ally in some form or another of the Walkers.

If that's the case, makes me wish they hadn't fucked up Euron so badly on the show. God, he's fucking terrible.

Yeah, he is pretty bad.

Yea, definitely NOT the picture I had in my head. Felt the same about Roose Bolton, though many disagreed.

Since im fully back into GoT nerd mode, I was watching some old clips and when I saw Daario I had an epiphany. He will be the betrayal for love. He was told to stay in Mereen, and the more I thought about that scene, the more obvious it became he was not going to do that. He's snuck onto one of the ships, and is gonna reappear at the most inopportune moment.

And how's this one, the last part of that that three part prophecy will all be fulfilled at the same moment. Three treasons, three mounts, three fires. The first two of each of those were all different, and then the last is love for all three. That's no accident. The same thing will satisfy all three.

Like I said, fully in nerd mode as we get closer.

Yeah, visually he's all wrong, but his character just sucks on the show too. Euron in the books is fucking awesome. Euron on the show is an incompetent asshat. We saw him for like two episodes acting like he was hot shit for killing an old man before he literally got his entire fucking fleet stolen out from under him by a woman and a dude with no dick. "Oooh, what a badass."

As far as Bolton goes, I agree the guy they cast wasn't the picture I had in my head, but I think they (and the actor) mostly nailed the character.

The view I had in my head of Bolton was basically Dracula. Slicked black hair, pale white skin, skinny, and talked in an almost whisper. The book always made reference about how when he spoke people had to listen very closely to hear him. I felt Roose's voice in the show was too baritone. HOnestly the voice Littlefinger does now is closer to what I thought Bolton's should be.

That's almost exactly what I had in mind from awoiaf.

I think the casting of Roose Bolton and Stannis were serendipitous insofar as neither really matched the descriptions in the book but the actors fucking rocked in the roles.

Stannis should have been Mark Strong. Literally the perfect casting choice.

Odds that Brans direwolf is now an undead direwolf and somehow used to get through the wall?

My girlfriend watched Oberyns death for the first time. Needless to say...I got her reaction on video and it was fucking awesome. That honestly has to be the most gruesome death in the show so far. He was fucking awesome too

I posed this question to my brother last night after we had just watched the episode where Joffrey is poisoned at his wedding, which btw is a very underrated death scene. Go back and watch if you haven't seen in awhile. It's much more brutal than i remembered...Which main character do you think has suffered the worst fate?

I still think Shireen takes the cake, even though we didn't get to witness the actual death....that whole scene was incredibly hard to watch.
