The Official Game of Thrones [A Song of Ice and Fire] Thread (includes spoilers)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Perfumed must mean Varys tho. They mention his smell all the time and now one else.

Wasn't the whole "perfumed seneschal" thing based on a vision? If so, I wouldn't take it too literally. "Fancy-pants advisor" seems close enough, and that did fit Varys when he was on the Small Council.

I can think of one Eunuch that wasn't perfumed in real life.

I'm sure you can too, Mr. Tip.

It was from a Quaithe line. It wasn't on the show (Quaithe disappeared after season two, didn't she?), but that doesn't mean it won't come true on the show. Just depends if it's a critical act by a show character or a less critical act by a character that was cut from the show, like most of the characters from the Meereen arc.

So we know the zombies can run. Why don't they just run all the time? They're dead, so it's not like they are gonna get tired.

Fuckers could have been in Winterfell in like two days.

Yeah want their allow pace how job escaped Hard Home? Or all his escapes the ww letting him go?

One thing I heard a lot of debate on is how, at least in show canon, only Targaryens can ride dragons, yet Daenerys didn't seem surprised when Jon rode Rehgal.

But I just rewatched the episode, and a couple things came to mind. One, last season, like 7 dudes rode Rehgal all at once during the WW escape. Most likely because Dany commanded / willed it. Told them to get on. She did the same to Jon at the beginning of the ride in 08.01.

However, right before the end of the ride, they very clearly show Jon steering and basically commanding Rehgal to land. Like the beginnings of an actual bond. Dany sees it, and you can see some momentary confusion and surprise. And then they make out and such. But it just made the scene make a lot more sense to me.

People been trying to figure out the "Perfumed Senechal" thing for a while. Honestly, no one knows. In the books it might be a character from a city we haven't even met yet.

What I wonder is in the books, during her inner monologues, if she'll repeat Quaithe's words about being wary of the suitors coming for her once Victarion and Tyrion and Moqorro get to her. Cause she does it with the HoTU prophecies where she'll repeat them in her head.

If she does, it sorta will make the reader ALWAYS wary of Tyrion, which would make it less surprising if he does, in fact, betray her.

Dany thought the perfumed seneschal was one of her servants in Mereen. We don't know how that whole thing played out yet, so that may or may not have been true.

I don't trust Dany's interpretations of her prophesies. She also thinks that the maegi from season one was one of her treasons, but I don't believe that for a second. Why would they tell her about a betrayal that had already happened in the House of the Undying?

I think she's going to learn to her peril that Mirri and Jorah were not two of her three betrayals.

There's plenty of visions in the House about things that have already happened though. Rhaegar having a child being one. The Red Door. And various others.

And visions of things that could have but never will happen, too.

So I dunno. Definitely possible.

Well, the ones we're talking about aren't actually visions, but what the Undying tell her at the end. Just would seem weird for them to tell her about three treasons when two have already happened. Anti-climactic as fuck too.

Plus, she's so convinced that one was Mirri that I am 100% sure it won't be.

Well then does that mean she also hasn't known one of the loves? Since that happened prior.

And none of the fires either? Cause if that's the case, I don't know if any of them have happened yet, either. So that's a lot of stuff that would need to take place in 2 books.

Because the fire for life....I mean that's the pyre that birthed dragons. It has to be.

Yeah, I guess you're right.

Just seems really lame if Mirri is one of them I guess. I know that was a big deal, but man it feels like she's got lots of treason potential left.
