The Official Game of Thrones [A Song of Ice and Fire] Thread (includes spoilers)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Look, I am going waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyy out in left field for this one, but could it be a reference to the Onion Knight?

Onions have a distinct "perfume" and he's kind of an administrator....

Nevermind.

Yeah, I was promised some more Ghost this season. Did he even show up at all in S7? I know Arya saw Nymeria for like thirty seconds and then she bailed.

The show can afford to have massive dragons destroy things but can't let the sigil of one of the three most important houses in the show pop up more than once every season it seems like.

I think the problem is that the wolves are tougher to get right visually. They always look awkward and unnatural because they film real wolves and scale them up, which screws up how their movement looks on screen.

Dragons aren't real, and are probably easier to get right with CGI because they are reptiles with scales rather than fur.

Ah, I didn't know that. I thought the Wolves had always been CGI except for when they found them and were really small back in S1.

Yeah in season one they used a certain breed of dog that I don't recall offhand.

Since then I believe they've been filming real wolves at some off-site location and then digitally scaling them. They may well augment them with CGI, though. They probably do.

Either way, the wolves have always looked kind of shitty to me so I understand why they don't have them around much.

As long as Ghost/Nymeria get some kind of epic final stand defending Jon and Arya, then I'll be fine with limited screentime.

I feel like all of the dragons and direwolves are going to be dead by the end of the season.

Nymeria will come to the rescue as the general of an entire wolf army.

Like a massive cavalry attack, but think wolves. In formation.

I hope I'm wrong, but I think we may have seen the last of Nymeria. That reunion with Arya seemed very final. Ghost should still be at Jon's side. Can't believe they haven't figured out how to do it correctly, because his absence is ridiculous.

I agree, and I think the same with Ellaria. Do people think she will be back in Season 8?
