Just after seeing Kirk Herbstrait's dumb smug face on my tv bragging about how this "Wasn't political and the best 4 teams made it" set me off.
College Football is my favorite "stick and ball" sport on the face of the earth. Save for hearing the thunder of 33 cars on tracks at the corner of 16th and Georgetown? it's one of the most pure joys one could have in sports.
But it feels like during the BCS era? The media seems like it's been thrust into playing politics for it's particular network.
I was really hoping that because of the playoff? We'd finally be rid of this conference supremacy pissing match, but alas, no. It's reared it's ugly head again. ESPN and CBS's SHAMEFUL shilling for 'Bama even before Meyer and gang took the trophy was an insult.
And this isn't just about OSU. USC the other power 5 champion and undefeated Central Florida were left twiddling their thumbs with no remote shot at a national title.
But this needs to stop. I want these corrupt people who are pulling this shit to explain to me how we went from seeing programs like BYU, Oklahoma, Penn State, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Miami (Fl.) Pitt, Colorado, and Washington were all lifting trophies before they put these two systems in place.
Now? it's the SEC "flavor of the month" Challenge. That's it.
