I'm all over the map on IQ tests. Genius level on all of them, but depending on the actual test I score anywhere from the mid 140s to the high 160s. It all depends on how they weight the individual attributes of "intelligence".

I imagine @gourimoko and @King Stannis (among others) are in the same ballpark.

IQ tests should be administered in person by a professional. Online tests aren't generally considered meaningful.

Okay that's what I figured. My parents took me to a psychologist when I was 13 for one (still not sure why). Are the tests pretty standard when they're given by professionals?

There are a variety of well accepted tests that a psychologist will choose from. It's important to use a more standardized (commonly used) test for comparative purposes.

If you test abnormally high on IQ tests as a child, the school district may opt to continually test you over time to see how you progress/regress over time. Given the rarity of high-level IQs, there's no generalized way of handling these kinds of cases, which, unfortunately can have negative consequences for the child being constantly tested.

Healthcare is one thing I tend to not side with the GOP on. What's expected to happen to the market once the EO goes into effect? I'm too lazy to wade through the republicans saying "it's awesome!" and the democrats saying "it's terrible!" to figure out if it's good or not right now.

Well, if you side with the liberal agenda on healthcare, why not on other things?

On some things I do, such as same-sex marriage, for example. On healthcare I'm not completely sure that single-payer is the way to go. I think that it's a good idea in theory, and it seems to work in European countries, but I'm not positive that it would work here in practice.

I do believe that single-payer is inevitable in the US though and because of that I would like the GOP to be the party that puts it forward.

Single-payer isn't the only liberal solution, it's just the cheapest; multi-payer is another option as well, but, all in all, we're still talking about government controlled health care.

I also would put to you that our current system is a good idea in theory, but not so much in practice as, it doesn't seem to be working here either both pre- and post-Obamacare.

I would argue that socialized health care has a far far better track record around the world than US healthcare.

    Almost like team sports?

I could not care less which party gets credit for it... the GOP and the Democratic Party are both corrupt organizations.. Just fucking get it done.
