Well, not the 25 win part. The real gaming killer is if you decide to have kids. Still, making sure you get adequate sleep and you're well fed destroys your gaming time.

I can squeeze in a couple of hours if I'm lucky on weekdays. Martin Luther King day is coming up and I'm going to try and game all day this next Monday.

Yeah, I should probably play a few rounds of it. You should play some overwatch since you have it.

Titanfall 2 is some of the most fun I've had playing a multiplayer game in a long time.

Decided it was time to get a few games off of my Steam installed list, so I decided to replay the first two episodes of Life is Strange and then finally finish the series. I'm near the end of episode four now. The writing has definitely improved since the first episode. The first and second episodes just have some glaring moments where you can tell the script was translated. Hell, the whole boarding school thing doesn't make a lot of sense in an Oregon setting (it should be a private college), nor does the fact that an obviously incredibly small art school has a football team, or the use of SMS instead of texts, or calling a stereo hi-fi. Just lots of little details that belie the setting.

That said, the game does have really good writing when it's hitting, which is most of the time. Some of the characters are way over the top, like Chloe's step-dad, but it's forgivable. The third episode introduces a really nice Butterfly Effect style twist on being careful what you wish for, and the general mystery of the plot (what happened to Rachel Amber?) is compelling, as is the impending biblical disaster heading for the town the game takes place in.

The rewind mechanic is actually pretty brilliant for a choose your own adventure game like this. Most individual major choices in the game (along with general dialogue) can be rewound, allowing you to see the immediate outcome of multiple choices. Of course, you still have no idea how choices will impact you in the long run, which is what makes the system compelling. A choice that seems good when you make it may turn out to not be so great later, or have unintended consequences. But as you play the game, it's nice to not have to replay an entire episode to see how certain things would have played out differently had you made different choices. There's still replay value, because decisions pile up, but unlike a Telltale game you have the option to undo a decision right after you've made it and see the alternatives.

I'll post final impressions once I finish the entire game. Wrapping up episode four now.

I heard the game isn't very balanced and there aren't a whole lot playing it. They released it at a very poor time competing with another online title bf1. The online shooter department is very competitive.

Really loved the overall storytelling in this one. This is their next game, complete 180 but looks great too:

Didn't help that the first game was poorly-received, which meant not a lot of people were expecting much from the sequel.

I went back to rainbow 6 siege. Game is unbelievable. Going from titanfall 2 to it though has been pretty difficult lol.

Anyways, why I'm really here. I wasn't sure where to put this but someone PLEASE tell me xbox has a mlb game coming out this year. Or any rumors

Well, those last two episodes of Life is Strange took a turn for the WTF. Just some crazy shit happening left and right.

Got a fun text from the dog in the game during one of the trippier segments:

    And also found Larry David!

All in all, enjoyable game. I don't think it was as good as the best Telltale games, and it got pretty batshit crazy toward the end, but the time travel stuff was cool and interesting and some of the alternate realities you visit reminded me of the movie The Butterfly Effect (which, while not a great movie, created some interesting alternate timelines) and the concept that, no matter how hard you try, you just can't save everyone.

The last choice in the game is great as well. I chose to:
    Sacrifice Chloe.

Also, I always envisioned Mario back in Brooklyn looking something like this:
