The "What are you playing now?" Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Definitely need to finish it. The base game was fantastic, and the two expansions were both improvements on it story-wise. Such great characters in that game. I love Geralt's dry, shitty sense of humor.

I'm now addicted to For Honor. It's taken TF2's place for now as my multiplayer fix.
Not played that, been a bit in the Blizzard shell lately. Overwatch has been my team comp shooter.

MOBA's I was hugely addicted to Smite. Friends kind of backed off of that in favor of WoW at the moment so it's fell by the wayside, but that's another fun game to check out if you like MOBA gamestyles but want more control (it uses WASD FPS style movement compared to point and click of your DOTA/LoL/HoTS).

I binged on Overwatch for a few weeks when it came out, but ultimately it just couldn't replace TF2 for me. My PC friends were kind of split by it as well. A few stayed with Overwatch, a few returned to TF2 primarily, and a few play both. I think the main reason I didn't like it was the MOBA influences. It's just not a genre I'm into, and the ults just kind of ruined the experience for me.

On an unrelated note, I'm installing the new Torment game right now. Probably not going to get into it until tomorrow, but I'm definitely excited.

Let me know what you think, as I'm truly on the fence about it. I have 6 other games I'm working on at the moment, just not sure I can justify spending $50 on another game.

Ya, it's absolutely about saving ults, and using them in coordination to break holds. So many folks complained about Genji, but all it took was one good Zenyatta ult to all but negate him, then they made the duration equal so it was a total negate. That one ult though can counter so many the other team throws. I liked the rock/paper/scissors aspect of it. I get ya w/ TF2 though, it's closer to the pure Quake gameplay that I grew up on. The original Team Fortress was amazing. I'll read up on Torment, haven't heard of that one. Thanks for the lead!

Have you played HotS much? Pretty much my main game at the moment. Game is in an incredible spot right now. I know there are a few people on RCF that play.

Def recommend picking it back up if you've tried it before. Esp if you're on a Blizzard kick.

Anyone dig into the new Torment yet? Haven't had the chance to play much, just until you meet your first companions. One of them has such an awesome concept haha.

Blizz games man. They don't revolutionize, but they're so polished and fun. HOTS is awesome, though a lot of MOBA purists probably hate it.

I can't get enough, though. We need to jam some more out sometime.

I'm down anytime. I can't pull myself away. Got all these games to play, just end up playing hours of HotS each night. :chuckle:

Borrow the newest Tomb Raider off my buddy. So good. Easy yet a little challenging and can go in depth if you want. This one and the one before have just been awesome!

Anybody other than me getting a Switch?

Zelda: BotW reviews come out tomorrow, but the initial hints are that this might be one of the best games ever.

I may get one eventually, but I've soured on buying consoles at launch. I don't even own a console right now, to be honest. Well, a PS3, but I haven't turned it on in years. I sold my 360, Xbone, and PS4 because I just wasn't playing them enough to justify holding on to them.

But the Switch intrigues me both for Breath of the Wild and because I think the concept of it is cool. As someone who likes to travel, it'd be fun to be able to bring it with me easily on planes and such. I can imagine how useful it would have been on my trip to Europe last summer, as we spent a lot of time on planes and trains getting from country to country. We settled for a bluetooth speaker and stand-up comedy to entertain us on the trains, but I'd think the Switch would be a cool distraction too.

I played about an hour of it last night, but I was kind of drunk and there was a ton of reading. I basically made it through the tutorial and then stopped. I already knew I found the world and premise interesting, and the tutorial confirmed all that. I suspect that, like Tyranny, it's a game I'll definitely finish.

I'm just happy we finally got a game that runs great on PCs and awful on consoles. :chuckle:

Been having major fun playing Horizon, game looks gorgeous.

Zelda looks fucking amazing but I'm really thorn on getting a Switch.

Breath of the Wild is sounding incredible. I really don't know if I can avoid buying a Switch just for it.

Guys............. ANDROMEDA IS ONLY 3 WEEKS AWAY.

I'm giddy with excitement.
