The "What are you playing now?" Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
For anyone that's done with MGSV:

For the fucking life of me, I can't beat Saehalanthropous on extreme -- just can't. I loaded up on a grenade launcher and my best available rocket launcher; I came at the fucker with vehicles to start but he takes them which is to be expected.

I've been trying to anticipate attack patterns which isn't overtly difficult but no matter fucking what I just end up curb stomped by the earth circle shit or earth bricking. I've gotten halfway there way attacking his rear cartridges early but the red storm is often difficult o survive.

Fuck. Someone give me someone more than IGN can offer please. This shit deters me from playing and I just want to continue on. I find it annoying to repeat missions just for the sake of doing it and I might sound whiney but whatever.

Youtube for strategies.

The way I did it, after I found it on youtube, was to run around that big electrical tower right next to him. Dropping supply packs right after picking them up, so its one continuous steady supply drop.

Youtube is your friend here.

How is the Destiny 2 Beta for anyone that has been playing?
It all depends on if you liked the first game or not. They've taken great pains to address many of the PvP concerns of the first game, and this iteration has slowed down the gameplay and the amount of ridiculous 1 hit kills. It's a much better flow for competitive players, but a little less casual friendly. As with the original Destiny, the gun-play is spot on, best I've ever experienced, and worth it for that alone IMO.

People who left Destiny 1 early, before The Taken King, never saw the vast improvements to the game, and this follows up on most of those for the (limited) PvE exposure. Looks like there's going to be some great story (and the free mission they give you in the Beta is better than anything in the original game) and they are trying like hell to make the game accessible to new players.

I don't feel like this Beta is enough of an exposure to Destiny if you never played the first, but if you did play the first, you'll be able to see vast improvements in this limited game play.

Didn't really play the first one but was hyped for it. Just heard all the complaints. Wonder if I'd dig the sequel.

Tried to get into the first Destiny but I just couldn't. Didn't really like how all the enemies were massive bullet sponges and there just wasn't enough content to justify the price tag.

Honestly, most of the major complaints were addressed with the major expansion "The Taken King" which came almost a year after the main game. By that point, the reputation for players that had already left was pretty much set. And honestly, it cost an additional $40 for what should have been there from the start. As a total game at the end of it's life, basically last fall when another expansion "Rise of Iron" was released, the game had a ton of content including 25+ PVP maps, dozens on missions, strikes and 4 total Raids. They toned down the "bullet sponge" aspect of raid and strike bosses, added more mechanics, more subclasses, story... but too little too late for lots of people, understandably, and at a $190 price tag if you bought all the expansions separately.

IF they aren't lying about Destiny 2, then the strides they made are continuing and the content is going to be pretty extensive at launch. Who knows? But seeing how the game progressed over the 3 years and how great it was by the end IMO, I'm willing to jump into D2 with some hope it's the game everyone was hoping for with the first one.

Been playing Town of Salem a lot lately. It's a fun, little quirky strategy game, but a game can easily be ruined by one toxic player that is too stupid to understand what is going on.

Also been on a huge Overwatch kick lately.

I been doing some Cave Story and Persona 5.... I really love life right now in video game land.

Didn't want to make a new thread, but does anyone have a good recommendation for a PC/console wireless headset with mic? Something that works on both. My PC headset is dying and I want something universal for my next one.

Besides going to Denver on vacation and getting out on my parents new boat. I decided to buy "Saturday Morning RPG". It's pretty dumb but I'm hooked. Lol. Easy but I've died a few times. For 10 dollars I've already got my money's worth. 2/5 through the game and I've prolly got 5 hours. It's entertaining. It was that or 60$ for resident evil 7. I'm happy with my choice.
