Pretty sure it was listed in Canadian Dollars, this was a Canadian leak.

Unrelated note. Still on my Fortnite kick, it has to be the best competitive game to come out in a long, long time.

Hopefully you're real good at it. :) Epic just announced $100,000,000 prize pool for the first season of Fortnite esports.

I bought the last battle pass. I've got a lot better since I changed my controller layout to builder pro and messed with my sensitivities a bit. But I'm still not an elite player, probably just a little above average. I get jealous watching people on PC, they can do things so much quicker and smoother.

Man, I wish I was good. That is absolutely insane.

I also constantly marvel at how good Fortnite's business model is. It's perfect. Zero barrier of entry since it's free and on everything, amazing creative cosmetics and emotes that fans want, constantly updating the game and listening to community feedback. And even though everyone knows about it, they still market the game so well and push it hard. They've just nailed everything perfectly it feels like.

Other games are trying to copy a bit, and they should. I'm one of the few people that still tries to play Battlefront 2. And even though it's had a recent update, it's still kind of dead and has a lot of problems, mostly content related. If they revamped the game by putting in a battle pass and adding a lot of content and remarketing it, it could save the game. Doubt they do it, but they should. And they should make it free so the player base increases. And once the player base increases, maybe they would be motivated to put out good content.

With you. Builder pro has been an incredible addition.

I am trying to work on getting fast with edits and keeping my peeking to a minimum. I’d say I’m slightly above average as well currently. Just bought a SCUF controller though which I assume will do wonders with the ability to jump and not have to take my thumb off the sticks. We will see.

Yeah, Fortnite's done an awesome job with its F2P model.

These days, I strongly prefer a well crafted F2P game. My most played, and honestly most invested in $$-wise are free to play games (Hearthstone, Heroes of the Storm, and even Overwatch even though it's not truly F2P, although you can buy the base game cheap), because I played them completely free of charge, learned they were incredibly well built and fun and something that I wanted to spend a lot of time in, and THEN after they earned my $$, I happily spend it there.

I'm still a Fortnite noob, but I may get there with that game too. Smart business model when done right.

Yea, Paladins is like the free version of Overwatch. They specifically have really just copied the Fortnite model recently. They added a battle pass that operates basically identical, they even call it a battle pass. I will likely never get it because I don't care enough about the game, but it is a fun game. I started playing it a couple months ago but haven't played it in a few weeks since I bought the Fortnite battle pass.

Let me know how that goes. I've thought about it but I don't think I'm good enough to deserve a SCUF or invest in it. I have no doubt it could vastly improve your game, but I wonder how hard it is to get used to.

I simply can't get into Fortnite to the point where I'm not bored after playing it for an hour.

There just isn't enough depth to the game for me to truly enjoy it. I can't imagine wanting to watch a competitive stream of it for longer than a game or two.

When we went on spring break, I cleared out a couple days to get really good at it, and it just wasn't fun. Maybe I'm turning into an old fuddy duddy, but I still don't see how that game is anywhere near this popular even a year from now.

I still fucking suck at the game. My only solo win came thanks to Thanos. Though Builder Pro has helped become better at building

If one of you above average players can give me some advice that would be great ha. Luckily I have a couple good friends that help me get some wins in squads

Building up/ getting the high ground is so important. It’s basically a strategy game inside of a shooter. There is a counter to everything.

Do you watch streamers and try to mimick the moves they pull? If you’re on console I’d suggest taking a look at NICKMERCS on twitch and Upshall on YouTube. Both are top tier console players with different play styles. Watching them has made me so much better alone.

Yeah I watch Ninja sometimes, but that’s it. On console though. So I’ll give those two a look

H1Z1 beta dropped today on Ps4. Man it feels so clunky compared to Fortnite. Maybe it's a lot smoother on PC and could get an update that makes it smoother on console considering it's the first day, but it's also super buggy right now. The test area worked fine even though the frames looked terrible from a distance. The menu's in game for guns and ammo were also very awkward and not intuitive, but maybe it's partly just because I'm not used to it.

But I tried a normal solo game and I literally couldn't move or do anything. The start menu still worked so I went to the quit pop up and went back in and it let me move for like 20 seconds at a time before I couldn't move again. So I kept going to quit menu and back in for seconds at a time to move. Pretty horrible.

It is day one of the beta so it gets a lot of slack obviously but that is bad. I look forward to the updates because I do like the fact that it feels way different from Fortnite from the stuff that worked in the test area. So that variety is nice to have assuming it gets smoothed out.

I’m also god awful at aiming for whatever reason
