The "What are you playing now?" Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I've started using the Xbox app's Looking for Group function while playing Sea of Thieves the past two weeks at times I don't have any buddies on. This thing is incredible. It instantly lets you find other players who are on comparable skill levels or at least trying to do the same types of activities. If I want to hunt for skull forts, I can find a group of people that are doing that. If I want to grind merchant missions, I can find a group for that. If I want to speed run Legendary missions, there are people doing that. It's a really great way to simplify finding a game.

You can also tag your Looking for Group posts to specifically search for people who have mics, who are okay with trash talk, who are of a specific level, and on and on and on. I've found some pretty solid groups this way, and really only ended up in one bad one. Even there, made friends with the girl in the group because she was the only one besides me actually pulling her weight.

With that last group, I boarded an enemy ship, killed their entire crew almost three times, and sunk their ship, and somehow my idiot teammates still got our ship sunk. :chuckle:

X-Com 2 finally. It's awesome. The whole side part of building up your base makes for a nice break between the combat.

@Jack Brickman

Found this Sea of Thieves video and couldn't stop laughing; CAUTION ITS LOUD

I remember the early days when every time you saw another ship it was terrifying. Now I rain down death on the seas like I'm the fucking reaper.

I got on these guys' ship yesterday. They had been chasing us after we looted a skull fort and wouldn't relent despite us sinking them a couple of times during the fort. I got on their ship, anchored them, and killed their entire crew at least three times. Ended up boarding their ship about three more times during that play session and, since they were using in-game chat instead of party chat, I could hear their terrified screams of, "OH GOD JACK IS BACK" and then they'd all die again.

Eventually I was hiding on their ship and heard them talking about how they should just leave our ship alone. :chuckle:

Bloodborne and Crash Bandicoot remastered

Anyone pick up anything good/worthwhile from the Steam Summer Sale? I bought basically the entire Valve collection for about $15, and have been enjoying all the fuzzy nostalgic feelings that come from playing Half-Life and Half-Life 2. I really hope I'm able to see HL2: Episode 3 at some point in my life.

I've been playing a lot of Gwent lately, too. Really starting to enjoy it.

I got that on sale but still haven't played it. Maybe it's time....

Does anyone play Monster Hunter? I’ve never played it but have it. Want to use the online feature.

Star Wars Battlefront 2. My sons bought me an X Box so we all can jump online and play Saturday and Sunday nights.

I'm one of the 5 Battlefront fans on the planet so hello.

I play it once in awhile but not much because EA butchered the game. There was an update a few days ago with some game play changes and a new game mode I haven't tried yet. I also think this is double xp weekend.

They announced the Clone Wars DLC is dropping later this year. Which everyone who is left actually playing this game, is pumped for and wanted all along. But they should have done it a year ago. I honestly don't know if the game will survive until the end of the year. It's barely survived as is.

Well, got my XB and PS4 set up in my new Charlotte home finally. Need to crank out some games before the Fall titles drop.

I'll tell my sons about the double points. They added some new maps and they're fun. We used to play COD but my reflexes aren't what they were and I'd hate to see my k/d rate and I don't have to worry about it with Star Wars.

Thinking about getting back into online gaming, mainly first person shooters.

Any recommendations? I've played PUBG a couple times (third-person, I know), have never played Fortnite, and have never played Overwatch. Typically if I play a shooter these days it's either Destiny 2 (I just started playing again, trying to get maxed on light level before Forsaken drops in the fall) or Modern Warfare Remastered.

Is Overwatch worth it? What about Rainbow Six: Siege? Any others that I'm forgetting?

Was at the park shooting hoops today and saw hundreds of people walking around playing Pokemon Go

Had no idea that was still a thing

Apparently there was a special event today or something
