Time for a Rudy Gay safari?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Seriously?

Yeah...no official word but looked bad. Went to explode down the baseline on a dribble drive and his leg gave out....looked like an Achilles to me but could've been a pulled calf muscle. Either way, he's gonna be done for a bit, and that pretty much kills his value.

Well shit.

I was just going to come here and say, Rudy Gay or bust of we want to win another championship. Shump is the sacrifice.

Cancel that

Gay went down with a non-contact injury in Wednesday's game against the Pacers, Kings sideline reporter Kayte Christensen reports. He could not bear any weight on his left foot while leaving the court and was carried off. An extended injury for Gay would be a huge blow for a Kings team that struggles to compete on a nightly basis. Gay posted double-doubles in each of his last two games and likely finishes his night against the Pacers with 21 points (8-13 FG, 3-4 3PT, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, two steals and one block. The team should provide an update on his status ahead of Friday's game against Memphis, but the initial signs don't appear good.

I think it's wild how the LeBron Safari is the only one that ended up going well for us in the long run.

Man just is impervious to curses.

I wish Rudy Gay well though, always a decent player. Just a terrible injury.

Sorry guys, the dream ends here.

At least until the "maybe Rudy Gay will sign here for 1 year at the MLE until he's proven to be fully healthy" Safari starts up in July.

But, similar thing happened to Wes Matthews and he still got a huge deal so it's a highly unlikely scenario

What this does is pretty much make Boogie expendable for sure. I felt the Kings thought they could get the 8th spot and for sure now a big no. Side note how would yous guys feel about Shbazz Muhammad? He has been playing pretty well in Minny and could thrive here. This is speculation on my part now that Gay is well... done.

FWIW Snarly, Boobie is signing an extension before the end of the year.

The new CBA changes everything with young players drafted by their franchise.

I somehow missed this news... thanks man. I heard he was still on the block somewhere so I might have gotten my stuff wrong. Looking at both Sac and Minny though Collison and Muhammed both stand out as real targets. Muhammed has some good defense with a 40% three point percentage and he lacks PFs and Turnovers. Collison is having a very good offensive year and is churning out 6 assists per game and would be a huge improvement at back up PG I do think he is poor on defense but so was Mo Williams so either one I would like. Shabazz can run the PG to I was told but some random Minny fan and not sure how true that is.

I believe Gay has a player's option, and given the nature of his injury (from what we know so far) I will be surprised if he opts out.

Bad luck for Gay. I wish him well.
