Timofey Mozgov Mancrush thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
You gotta think that Denver still wants Mike Miller in any deal because we stole him away for cheap.

Not sure what the purpose of Mike Miller would be if they have conceded the season. You usually don't seek old veterans when it comes time to pack it in.

Really intrigued by Biyombo. Seems like a poor man's Ben Wallace who would be a great addition to this Cavs team.

Biyombo may be fierce, but is he silky smooth?

The Bosnian Bear Nurkic has been really good in limited minutes as he's provided a real presence down low. He's also only 20 years old. Perhaps his emergence will make Mosgov more expendable as Denver's playoff dreams die.

With Windy saying that we are working with Boston on three way deals, I wonder if we are trying to get them to take back Javale McGee as Denver's carrot to give up Mozgov?

I'm thinking something like this:

Cavs get: Mozgov

Celts get: Javale

Nuggets get: Brandon Wright

We would probably have to throw in a pick to Boston to make them happy as well. Anyways, who knows if this is at all being discussed but I was just looking for possible deals that it would make sense to bring Boston in on.

Pretty much this. Nurkic has been really impressive.

If we had gotten the 9 pick instead of 1 Nurkic was who I wanted.

Just gotta keep that Memphis pick on the table for Denver and hope they keep sucking and finally take the offer. We really can't offer much more. If we get Mozgov, sign Emeka with the DPE we would be very solid at the 5.

If you could resign Emeka after the season, you could use Haywoods contract to get a very night wing defender, say Igoudala. He has been disappointing for GS and they are going to have to pay up too Keep Draymond Green.

That is my dream scenario. However, I will take just signing Emeka Okafor this season as a win.

Igoudala better not be what we use Haywood's contract for. Shawn Marion is posting a similar stat line.

And is a lot older. Igoudala is a lot better then how he is playing for GS and is a lockdown defender, which doesn't show up in a statline. I would be thrilled to get him if we have our center.

Just looked at a most of mine from April 18-stating it is all set Nurkic will be the pick.

so nirkic hit the 20min mark for the first time and now surpassed that in 3 consecutive games. averaged 12.3pts, 9.3 boards, 3.3 blks, 1.3 stls (on a meager 50% shooting) while mozgov struggled a bit. laughably small sample size but maybe we're finally getting on the path towards an eventual deal! LETS GO

The problem with any of these trades for me keeps coming back to the idea that we really don't have anything to offer Denver that we're willing to part with.

We have no young players to offer not named Dion, and our best asset is a draft pick from Memphis that likely will be worthless until the 2017 draft (and even then who knows how good it will actually be).

We could offer them salary relief, but that would mean they ostensibly give them away and that's just not going to happen.

The Haywood contract is really not even that great an asset when you think about it because it only gets us something by taking back an albatross contract.

Teams are going to be trying to dump their trash on us, because if they are looking to cut payroll it is not going to be the productive cheap guys they want to get rid of.

If we still had either that Miami pick or Sacramento pick to work with right now (both likely to be in the teens this draft - not 2 years from now) I might be a bit more optimistic.

As it stands though we really don't have a whole lot of assets heading into the summer and we are capped out with a ton of holes to fill. It just isn't playing out as we all kind of envisioned thus far.

Windy mentioned before (i think it was 2 weeks ago) that we wanted to involve Boston to send Zeller to Memphis (and Koufos to Cleveland). Zeller is having a nice season though, so i don't think that's a possibility at this point.
