Trade Deadline - Feb 8 at 3:00 EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I’m thinking we could then flip Kevin Love and our 1st for Damian Lillard:

IT3
Kemba
Lillard
Crowder
LeBron

Maybe at the last minute we can flip Crowder for someone like Patrick Beverly.

That will Help with our defense:

Beverly
IT3
Walker
Lillard
LeBron

Perfect fit......
On top of that suit Coach Lue up and bring him off the bench for Lebron.:chuckle:

As totally lost as JR Smith Looks right now, I might do half of that terrible Bleacher Report trade:

JR Smith + Shumpert for Batum + MCW?

Batum has been awful this year, and is on a max contract for 3 more years (ugh!). You lose the ability to trade Smith/Shumpert as expirings next year (more lost flexibility).

OTOH, Batum missed a bunch of time with a wrist injury, and is still coming back. If you think he will get back to where he is - then he's a decent offensive 4th option who can do a little bit of everything, and an above average defender with length to guard multiple positions....

MCW is a throw in - but can contribute as a defensive sub on some possessions...

I think the Bazemore trade possibilities are better, but I don't think we would need to include anything picks/prospects wise to get Batum.

Apparently Charlotte now shopping Kemba but have been shopping MKG, Batum, Marvin Williams and Dwight Howard with little interest around the league.
Kemba would be a pretty decent upgrade from IT...Have to move IT either to Charlotte or a third team. MKG could be a really good defensive piece to throw at Durant and some on here want Batum. If the cavs want to make a deal there are pieces here to mix and match.

I wouldn’t be opposed to trading for Kemba and Dwight.

I think kemba would fit this team really well. If we move IT I think its to a team that is over the cap and is looking for an upgrade at PG, like the clippers. I wonder if we could move IT+filler and the Brooklyn pick for Kemba and Deandre Jordan

Kemba Walker/Kidd-Gilchrist/Jeremy Lamb – JR/Shump/IT/Calderon – BKN Pick

JaMychal Green – Jae Crowder

DeWayne Dedmon – TT & 2 second round picks

PG’s Walker/Rose

SG’s Wade/Lamb/Korver

SF’s Lebron/Kidd Gilchrist/Osman/Jeff Green

PF’s Love/JaMychal Green/Zizic

C’s Dedmon/Frye

Flexible & strong defensive team (younger) - and a pretty decent team if LBJ leaves. Plus got rid of the dead weight high dollar deals. Don't like trading the pick, but no free agents come to CLE and one high draft pick won't cut it.

How has Dwight looked this season? His numbers look good but I haven't watched him play.

Feel like the Kemba availability went public because someone (maybe us) put a compelling offer in place, and they are now trying to see if they can get better or have that offer improve....

I'm back at it!

I thought pursuing Kemba was one of several good alternatives we had to doing the Celtics trade with Kyrie. But now that we have IT I don't see room for both on the same team. Kemba might be a better all-round player but if IT comes all the way back he is better on offense.

We should avoid MCW at all costs.

What's funny is it would be just like our front-office to prioritize bringing in another PG versus a viable big-man. SMFH!

I think Kemba is a better overall fit especially down the stretch of close games. I don't see the Hornets having any interest in taking on IT, a third team would definitely have to be in the mix. The value of IT is to a team that is over the cap and looking to upgrade to an all-star PG.

I just looked up Batum's contract and that's a contract that's hard to eat in a trade. I wonder how much actual value the Cavs would have to give up for a Kemba+Batum trade. Also I think Batum makes Crowder pointless on this team.

Yea thats the thing. Kemba gives us more defensively, but we might really need IT for when can't get points. You know the same reason we needed Kyrie's scoring.

I keep harping on this, but I wish when all of this was going down we could have got Paul in a 3 team deal. IT is much better than what the Clippers got back.

Crowder is already pointless on this team.
