Trade Rumor(s)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
In this instance, Durant is swapped in for Harrison Barnes; and the rotation would be similar to last year with Love on Iguodala/Pachulia.

You could even stash Love on Klay, although that would be bad for us rebounding-wise.

Personally, I'm not a fan of this rotation. I'd much rather have LeBron on Durant.

Irving > Steph (Irving owns Steph for some reason...weird really.)
Smith/Korver/Shump < Klay
LeBron > Durant (no contest)
Love > Green (Love has improved, Green has massively regressed)
Tristan > Zaza/Iguodala/Varejao (no more Bogut)

I feel that if we can force the Warriors into isolation, slow the game down, play a lot of 1-on-1 ball. We'll have the upper-hand. If we let these fucks get out and run, we'll likely have a problem early on in the series.

I agree with this. I just feel the best shot, if not the only shot, is too match them straight up and for our guys to outplay theirs. LeBron has to outplay Durant. Love has to outplay Green, and Irving has to outplay Steph.

I think cross matches benefit them, not us, because they are just more versatile players. Green can guard perimeter guys better than Love can. Durant has the length to get down and guard Thompson.

If we want to win a series then Kevin Love has to be a superstar player, and that can only happen if we give him a shot on defense. I was ok with him guarding Harrison Barnes. Harrison Barnes shrinks in the moment and is a non-factor. Andre Iguodala is not. I think it greatly hurts Love's chances to succeed if he has to run around the 3 point line on Iguodala, or worse yet, pick him up at half cause they have him running point.

Who's to say that Iggy isn't the shell of himself once the Finals roll around like he was last year? Dude's a year older and he's shown signs of regressing. I'd actually be pretty confident in a Love/AI matchup.

It all depends on how we play basketball..

We've gotta play physical (dirty), hard-nosed (dirty), fucking street ball.

Remember that mofo down at the playground who never cut his fucking nails before yall hoop? That needs to be Shump.. Scratch the shit out of Klay some more...

Shumpert needs to go watch tape of the 2014-2015 finals where he was EVERYWHERE on defense, had a bad groin most of the series, and literally just kept ripping the ball away from whoever on the Warriors had it.

The Warriors are loose with the ball. That is one of their fatal flaws. Shumpert exploited it really bad the first year, but was not himself at all last year. If he can do whatever the hell he was doing, he instantly becomes a huge problem for them, because they went on regular scoring droughts that year to the point where all we needed was ONE GUY to score 20 +LeBron doing his 35-10-10 thing and we would have won the game. Problem is, we didn't have anyone else to score that 20 or help LeBron maintain that pace besides Delly and then he ran out of gas. But Shumpert was defensive MVP of that series by far.

Just throwing this out there....for science..

Frye+Anderson+Osman for Bogut....

That would be really shitty of the Cavs to do with Channing....

but if we really think Bogut would add something to our team that we feel like we need to win a title, and it's clear that Cuban wants an asset for him...

Would the Mavs even do that? Frye has another year on his contract, but it's not a lot of money and it actually decreases from his salary for this year...he would probably become very trade-able and might even be able to get them another pick from a different team...

Is that too much for Bogut? Should we try and squeeze Barea out of them too? Bogut for that package....Barea for the TPE and a 2021 first... would they even part with Barea? Would they rather part with Deron....he'd be trickier....probably would have to give Cuban the 2021 first AND Cedi for Bogut and then have a super illegal wink wink deal between Cuban, D-Will, and Gilbert that D-Will gets bought out and signs here for the minimum....

Talk about going "ALL IN".... we'd probably have to re-sign Bogut this summer if we did that or we'd be in trouble going forward.

I dont want to lose Channing.. As much as Bogut would help our Defense right now Channing is not only a Big Bench Scorer for us but also the most beloved guy in the locker room.

We do need a defensive Center but i rather would not lose any of the core guys

I'd be ok with trading Channing at this point. He isn't going to be playable vs. the Warriors.

But I don't think Bogut is the type of guy I'd be targeting. I'd certainly pick him up on a buyout -- but not sure I'd send Osman away for a 10 MPG guy.

Maybe for Tyreke Evans? NO could certainly use another shooter.

Frye for Delly would work.

Not resigning Delly was a great move - and he is hugely overpaid.

Loved Delly when he played here -- would have loved to have him back at a reasonable deal. I congratulate him on getting a contract like that, but wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole.

Also, we could have gotten Delly for free 5 months ago. Since then he has underperformed. Why would we pay to get him now?

My post wasn't serious. If we're trading Frye (not against it) I'd prefer we get a player that would have a bigger role against the Warriors.

If Hawks decide to keep Millsap until the end of the year and he decides in the offseason he wants to join the Cavs what would the sign and trade look like?

Could we get it done without giving up Love/Thompson/Jr Smith?

Don't think the teams who are in luxury tax can sign players in Sign & Trade.

I am still skeptical about trading Frye because against certain teams, he is often the x-factor. He was huge in the series against Detroit and Toronto last play-offs. And say we face someone like Hawks, he will be vital as well. Also, the thing is, Frye seems like a great locket room presence. He was huge in making all of us click last season before the play-offs.

Even though he won't be able to play a lot of mins against the Warriors, I would prefer to keep him. But if we can get someone like a Jared Dudley for Frye, I think we should do that trade. Even though, Frye is a match-up nightmare for certain teams, Dudley is a better player and has the versatility to guard the wings and forwards. That will be vital in the NBA Finals.
