Trade the 8th pick? Where? Why? How?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Dream scenario: MPJ falls to 8. Trade 8 for 12 and 13. Take either Bridges at 12 then trade 13 Clarkson JR for MKG Kemba

That's an ideal scenario because we'd at least get a young player at 12 to develop along with Kemba who can slide into the lineup then Hill becomes a solid backup PG

My thinking exactly. You can go a ton of different ways at 12. The player you get at 12 is the same you would get at 8. The difference is 8 is the start of the second tier and we would have our choice at second tier guys or the last blue Chip that fell.

MKG is the least shit contract they've got and he would be a good energy guy off the bench if LeBron stays

Hes not playable his defense isn't actually good and that's what he's known for. Dude is terrible.

Imo Charlotte wants to move Batum MKG or Zeller with Kemba. Batum would ruin any flexibility we have over the next 3 seasons. Zeller would get no pt here. MKG expires along the timeline the rest of the Cavs expire. If I didn't know any better I'd think that the Cavs are planning to go nuts in the 2020 free agency class. Almost every contract we have expires in 2020

Is Batum any good? If we ignore how much he is making, is he actually playable against GS?

He would be a great piece to play against GSW if he goes back to Portland Batum with LeBron. Figure you can put him on Klay or KD. Would be an upgrade over JR but how hard is it to upgrade JR?

When motivated he is pretty darn good. Solid D, good shooter, can play point forward. He would pretty much be what Battier was on those Heat teams. Sadly, even Battier in his prime wasn't worth $27 mil per. But you know, Michael Jordan the GM...

Problem with Batum is he has no drive. Now he got paid so he has even less drive to be good. Its sad times cause he's crazy talented but has long been an under achiever then finally broke out and got paid and went back to not caring.

Batum would be the most useful player we could get from them....give that guy wide open shots from LBJ and he could shoot close to 40% from 3 while being 6'8 and able to handle the ball and facilitate at times

Batum is trash now. He won't shoot 40% from 3, more like 33% from 3. Just a taller Shumpert for us.

I'd rather have Marvin Williams. Now THAT dude can shoot, he's 6'9, and plays smart defense.

He is a career 35% 3pt shooter... I like Williams as well...both of them would get the best looks of their career playing with LeBron and we need as many big athletic wings that can shoot as possible
