Tristan Thompson

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Would Portland have an interest in TT?
We need some younger length,,,,Harkless, Aminu, Vonleh....
hell would you even swap TT for Crabbe? Would they consider this ? Or any combination or the other 3?

Biyombo would be pointless against the Warriors.

He would make TT look Bill Walton offensively.

Biyombo is just not good. Especially for that salary. If we trade TT and I think we should, it should be for a good solid wing or a back-up PG who can play-make and isn't an abomination on the defensive end.
Biyombo gives you everything TT does in addition to elite shot-blocking. Rim protection has been one of our biggest weaknesses since Mozgov regressed and Biyombo solves that.

ORL overpaid and is misusing him, I'd love to give them TT in exchange.

If we could get Aaron Gordon via adding Shump and/or Cedi then I would be down for sure.

Gordon's athleticism would be huge against the Warriors. I also think he has a ton of untapped potential. He looked great while playing with Ibaka.

Otherwise, not sure I'd want another overpaid center... Would much rather use TT to find a solution to the non-LeBron lineups, especially if said player can excel with LeBron, too.

Not sure what happened to him but his work rate and effort went down. His awareness and bad hands are also an issue. The amount of passes he botches compared to big men with sticky hands like Gortat and Adams is insane. He is a throwback power forward (grit + no offense) in a league that has none.

Finished year 6 and he still is nowhere close to even having the ability and confidence to take jump shot. They have to trade him but the LeBron hurdle will be obvious issue. If we trade him for parts and we fail, it may give LeBron the out he is looking for.

Trade TT for Melo is the safest bet to appeasing LeBron while upgrading roster. GSW played Zaza for 10 minutes a game and McGee ate the bench. Let's not overthink it and get a serviceable big to get through regular season.

Would you guys trade TT for Melo?

Ideally I would love to trade Shump, Frye and RJ to get Melo but lets say that doesn't happen and it requires someone like TT to get Melo, would you guys do it?

I would be happy to not see TT on this team next year. He is young, great rebounding with great athleticism.
Which should give him value on the market but for us his offense is too much of a black hole. People say offense is not a problem for the Cavs..but we need offense from more people than just Ky, Bron, and Love and sometimes JR.

Ideally we hold out on trading TT in effort to get PG but ultimately if it comes down to it..I'd definately trade TT for Melo.

Is there a deal, any deal, any possible construct of a deal, that sends TT/Shump/Cedi whatever, not including Love or Kyrie, that gets assets to Indiana for Paul George?

Warm up those trade machines people!

I am so for trading TT given we'd be the most likely to get something back that's actually good for him.

Now he, IMO, is more replaceable, too.

I rather have more size, shot blocking, and defensive rebounding at his position anyways.

TT starting at center, is just not ideal, IMO.

I'd kick the tires on Bogut, if healthy, is a better option anyways.

I'm sure there are a bunch of them that work on the trade machine. But the trade machine doesn't factor in things like no one will ever give enough for Tristan/Shumpert/Cedi that you could get George. I would bet a number of teams would expect you to pay a bigger premium than Cedi for them to take those two contracts.

It's actually really easy....and the Pacers would love to unload Monta Ellis who is on a worse deal than Shumpert.

Griffin wanted to pursue Butler first (and rightfully so after seeing how easy he was to obtain) but George's value is even lower now after Minny obtained Buckets using Dunn who looked lost last year, Lavine who is coming off knee surgery, and the swapping of firsts. Just an unbelievably bad trade that must make Indy's front office want to assasinate GarPax.

Anyways, I still believe George can be had without giving up any of our Big 3. I also think Gilbert would nix any deal involving Thompson even, based on player control. It sounds utterly ridiculous but Gilbert views his starters (Kyrie, Love, Thompson) as almost untouchable based on years remaining on their deals.
