Tristan Thompson

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
How would Love guarding Horford get him going, though? To me that seems counterproductive as Love clearly struggles to guard Horford.
Oh, I totally agree. I was just trying to guess at what the rationale could have been.

Perhaps that was the rationale, who knows. I just caught myself scratching my head when I randomly saw Love back on Horford and then Horford start scoring buckets again. Tristan is clearly the matchup against him, Horford struggles mightily with him.

I'm a Kevin Love fan, so hopefully this doesn't come across as petty... but he single handedly gets exploited on switches more than anyone on our roster. Lue has to do a better job of recognizing the moments Kevin is shaky or not shooting it well and take that advantage away from opposing teams by giving Kevin longer breaks on the bench.

At one point we had Tristan and Nance on the floor together and surprisingly they were fine. Defensively they're an absolute freaking nightmare considering they can effectively switch against multiple positions. Offensively we probably would be a little crowded down-low but there's ways to alter than by a utilizing a shit-ton of screen and rolls with the other big flare screening the backside guard.

I think with enough game time this combo could get exploited as coaches get more footage on this duo particularly when we're on offense. But frankly right now I'd rather see this then Green/Tristan which is a disaster both ways

I know it's been mentioned before but I want to give props to Tristan for consistently waiting for LeBron courtside after the immediate postgame on-court interviews. It seems there used to be a pretty solid crowd of teammates that waited for LeBron, to show respect and not leave him alone. Lately it seems everyone else leaves without him. Sure Tristan owes him but they all do.

It really feels like LeBron is going out of his way to show respect and support for teammates lately; especially during game 3 (running to help Kevin off the ground, congratulating others when they did something useful). And anything LeBron shows, others should be showing back to him ten times over.

It'd be nice for image and brotherhood if more or everyone on the team did this.

Horford fucking flinched when TT was missing a free throw.

Now he can flinch at home.

Tristan Thompson has been playing hurt all season and has missed substantial time with injuries.
A key part to the Cavs Playoff run will be a healthy Tristan Thompson

I see people complaining about multiple players trying to chase down loose balls on a possession. that's actually what ya want to see .

It is good that we have added all this big man depth this season but come playoff time a Healthy Tristan will be the guy. the one that opposing teams will make adjustments for and its up to the coaching staff and LeBron to take advantage of those adjustments.

Give it till after the finals.
I just think people don't realize if guys were good THAT CONSISTENTLY they'd be stars. Most players aren't stars. You're gonna get good games and bad games and good Matchups and bad ones

Even steph and curry look like shit. And Durant. Etc etc etc
