Tristan Thompson

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
When Nance is back he should start at C and Zizic should be getting most of the backup minutes. Tristan can get some spot minutes as an energy guy off the bench. Its all he's ever been good for.

Nance/Love/Cedi/Hood/Hill could be quite an exciting line up if it clicks, Cedi rebounding strongly a big help, a group that could be effective in transition.

Nance is probably best in short runs, high tempo for 4-5 mins then pull and repeat, Lue has had a tendency to allow line ups to burn out over extended mins.

He is really awful, don't think there is much else to say that hasn't been said but alas it must be reiterated.

The biggest what if for me is if Griff played hard ball with TT in 2015. At the time I thought the right move was to go after Thomas Robinson or someone similar in free agency with a mininium contract so we would not have to over pay TT. Now we have to just wait 1.5 years to hope we can move TT as an expiring. I don't think any team will come calling to trade for TT as a player.

Agree with this. No reason not to just rotate these guys in and out as soon as they are gassed. Have 2 high energy centers and a bruiser go at them all night.

Ty Lue will never pull him out until he's traded. It won't matter how pathetic he is, and how obvious it is to play the younger guys to develop them.

Koby has to find a team that will actually want him. Otherwise, get ready for lots of Tristan ball in Cleveland.

Yay, what a fun basketball season we are in for.

Yikes! I'm on the process/culture train over the results train this season but damn it's still painful to watch this guy. All that BS braggadocio before the season too...

My posting catalog is rife with TT hatred but we’re at the point where he’s starting for a reason that isn’t money related or LeBron related. LeBron isn’t here to push for his buddies. Guys making 20 million plus are sitting on other teams.

Nance’s return will probably move TT to spot starts but he will be eating up Zizic’s time for sure. Over his career, TT has started about 65% of his games. It plummeted once the team improved. We’re terrible again so don’t be surprised if he gets closer to starting 65%+ rather than 20%.

Just remember, next year he'll be a huge expiring contract that we can hopefully use to eat some bad salary and get a nice draft pick in exchange. Just get through this season, folks. Lol.

Tristan, if your knee is acting up feel free to take as much time as you need. (hint, hint)
