Tristan Thompson

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
the Spurs are interested in TT?
man. I feel he's going to be one of those guys we miss if he's traded down the line.
but I wouldn't be mad about him going to the Spurs. I would actually buy that jersey. The thought of him in Pop's system...

This rumor was also started by the BS Whisperer, so the chances of it having any validity whatsoever is right around 1%.

So...

What's up with this guy? His usefulness on this team seems to be shrinking, and I haven't even paid any attention to when he is supposed to return. Is he just off playing house with some Kardashian somewhere? Or maybe J.R.? Who knows....

More importantly...does anyone care?

Drew said he will be back soon and he wants Tristan to start with Love. They haven't been a great pairing defensively. Love and Zizic looked great together. I'd like to see them work against a better front line, but they worked really well together .

Zizic had a few blocks too. Nice to see

I don't see us gaining anything with TT. Honestly, Nance seems to give us most of what TT does, except with better offense. Zizic is a different look.

Too bad we couldn't - or didn't - move him for some positive assets.

Hopefully the front office will time TT back to up his trade value while holding down Chriss's value. Hopefully the front office can internally feel comfortable giving Chriss a multi-year contract but he doesn't put out enough tape for the rest of the league to feel the same.

If TT puts together some stat padding games and looks healthy, hopefully a market materializes for him in the summer. We don't need 6 bigs. We don't really need Henson either but I see him more as an insurance 4th big if we don't draft a big and we don't keep Chriss. Henson is someone we could pump up and trade away at the beginning of next season.

I would love to see the Cavs trade him on draft night along with the Rockets pick to move up again in the first round.

There is a scenario where the above would work well: Atlanta has their own pick which should be top five. They also have a second pick that projects at twelve today.

The Cavs offer Atlanta, the Rockets pick and TT in exchange for the number twelve pick and Kent Blazemore. Both TT and Blazemore have one year left on their contacts. The difference is Blaxemore sucks and the Hawks would love to dump him.

I would think the odds of finding a future stater are much better at twelve.

We currently have a log jam and something has to give. We know love is not going anywhere anytime soon, So that leaves: Zizic, Chriss, T.T, Nance, Henson
If it were me I'd keep Zizic, Nance, and Chriss (because of youth), But if I was a betting man I'd say Zizic winds up getting the short end of the stick. In my eyes, the redundancy of Nance and T.T is worse than Zizic's lack of speed

I think he'll be gone this summer, maybe draft night to help us move up?

Depending on where the Lakers pick ends up and if they are able to add a max free agent by draft night and use up the cap room, they could be a good trade partner for TT. Friends with LeBron, would be a great energy big off the bench for them. Pick should be in the 15 range, not sure TT is worth much more than moving up to 15 from lets say 23.

I would think Atlanta would be inclined to help the Cavs. We owe Atlanta a first round pick. If the Cavs finish in the bottom ten again next year, the pick becomes a second rounder. There could be some motivation there.

I think the Lakers will go to their grave trying to make a Big 3. Really their only chance to add a two stars and a player with TTs salary was to keep Deng. By stretching him they wasted 5 million in cap space that isn't tradable. With only 23.5 million in salaries (not counting LeBron) to trade next year they can't add much salary over the cap easily.

If they kept Deng they could have signed a max player then did a 3 way trade with Deng and all their other players for another star and a player like TT using the 125% rule.

LOOks like lot of Kardashian’s Tristan drama surfacing again. Cannot wait till he is gone
