i understand what youre saying, my counter is to say that NO ONE except women can understand is a discussion silencer. we have statistics and anecdote and females in our lives, theyre not an alien creature we have just stumbled upon. your point is valid in a lot of situations, but its like saying 'i cant talk about oranges because im not an orange, and stfu'. im not allowed to talk about women because im not a woman.. aright, women cant talk about male privilege because theyre not men.

similiarly, one womans experience is not the same as all womens experience, so it could be just as dissenting.

show me stats and Ill listen to an argument. or even point to things like clinton making harsher sentences and the cia pushing crack and Ill accept and give credit.

It's not like watching a cavs game and having an opinion on what to do on offense or defense. Talking about what a certain group goes through is something only that group experiences, so if they're telling that something isn't right, then listen.

I don't disagree with anything you're saying. I was simply pointing out we've gotta lot of dudes making sweeping generalizations based on something they simply can't experience first hand. Yeah, you can have anecdotal evidence, but that's all it is.

what if theyre wrong? just hypothetically, im not implying say, all black people are crazy and hysterical! but to not be able to question things and give ultimate power to ANYONE, simply because say, theyre female or black or hispanic or muslim, isnt the answer.

i get what youre saying, i hear your point and understand it, but its not healthy to flat out silence people because of race, gender etc.. thats exactly what movements are fighting against.
