Trump's Presidency

I'm going to the Women's March On Washington tomorrow. Interesting because a lot of people I know who are going are doing so to protest Trump, which fits in-line with what caused these marches to start. At first I was concerned about this, because as low as my faith is in Trump, he is my President and I'm willing to give him a shot.

For me, I've decided to go as a disability rights (the issue that effects me the most), women's rights, Muslim Rights, African American rights, and etc. advocate. Because regardless of Trump, these are real issues, and I feel like those of us who can show support should. I'm pretty excited, haha.

I feel very very prideful in how Cleveland people conducted themselves in their protest today. They were very apparent and noticed and kept the focus on their message with no violence whatsoever. Thats fucking America.

And, unlike many who didn't like Hil-dog, I am completely supportive of being the determinant of what happens to your own body.

That's not to say that someone in the protest didn't randomly tell a passer-by that he's a white guy so he's racist and sexist. That kind of shit sucks, but it definitely didn't overshadow the overall message.

I don't disagree with anything you're saying. I was simply pointing out we've gotta lot of dudes making sweeping generalizations based on something they simply can't experience first hand. Yeah, you can have anecdotal evidence, but that's all it is.

I agree that there are a lotta dudes out there making sweeping generalizations; however, that's a 360 degree thing. Lottttta people out there telling dudes how they think and feel. It's not right regardless how you cut it because... they haven't experienced it first hand.

what if theyre wrong? just hypothetically, im not implying say, all black people are crazy and hysterical! but to not be able to question things and give ultimate power to ANYONE, simply because say, theyre female or black or hispanic or muslim, isnt the answer.

i get what youre saying, i hear your point and understand it, but its not healthy to flat out silence people because of race, gender etc.. thats exactly what movements are fighting against.

You're making a different argument than @Czvosec is making.

He is saying that you cannot speak to their first-hand experience; because that's impossible. He's right, you or I cannot speak to the first-hand experiences of women. Only the group or individual that experiences a thing can observe it; that much should be obvious. What the rest of us can do is evaluate those observations and look for other evidence to understand those observations.

Moreover, to say "what if they're wrong?" Well, it depends on what you mean. Their observation isn't wrong; that's reality. Their interpretation of that observation could be wrong, and that's where rationality has to come into play.

Lastly, this has nothing to do with being a "white male" as @caf put it; because White males have their own experience that no one else can speak to. It's a universal axiom, and as such, this should go without saying.

This is very true.

im aware of his claim, i think he's aware of mine..

i understand memes that say 'no one should tell xxx person how to behave or feel if theyre not xxx'.. well, thst not exactly true, i can tell people not to murder innocent people.. you can look at this in a healthy way and an unhealthy way. i get the message, and i can say 'well, to an extent'. its also hypocritical, because youre literally telling me what to say and do and youre not yyy.

im pretty sure we agree on the concep tbut were looking at it in reference to different things and different parts of a spectrum..

if no one understands what its like to be a white male, however, i think a lot of people are saying a lot of things they shouldnt. but i dont believe 'no one can understand'.. i think people can piece together stuff on their own, if they truly wanted to, and relate it to their own lives and see where differences are.

in any event, there are people speaking about the male, female, black, white experience.. that should be evident of certain things, and people certainly can read these statements, and statistics can provide more evidence.

poeople are just posting meme information on fb... i stay away from pepole that are obviously triggered.. coworker just posted a litanny of hate stuff against trump and calling melania and fucking skank etc etc etc..

i wish people would stfu about politics on fb.. my best friend is fighting me because he showed a picture of the naked trump inaug. and I showed it full.

..if you dont want to discuss something, dont put it on fucking facebnook. i have to agree with everything youre saying? if i vehemntly disagree with somethign, i should just let it go? like 'jeff sessions = kkk?' if i dont want to talk about something, im not going to announce it to everyone.

Wrong. He never said he's taking off until Monday. Just more false reporting by the left.

WRONG.

“… [D]ay one – which I will consider to be Monday as opposed to Friday or Saturday. Right? I mean my day one is going to be Monday because I don’t want to be signing and get it mixed up with lots of celebration,” Trump said in an interview with the Times of London.

You could refute the claim with an actual fact, talking about how he may have stated it but is actually working through this weekend. You know, show something. And that'd be fair. Instead, you follow Trump's lead and combat any criticism with massive hyperbole. Wrong, he NEVER said that. MORE LIES AND FAKE NEWS. I'm not racist, I'm the least racist person you've ever met. I don't hate women, nobody respects women more than me (audience laughs). I'm a tremendous businessman who's very smart, smarter than the generals and I know more about the tax code than anybody plus even though you can see how fat I am it turns out I'm healthier than any president ever.

This is what I don't understand, how people just let all these lies slide. There are so many... Practically everything he says is bullshit, how can you take him seriously?

For instance, the whole debate over his crowds. We have pictures and figures from the National Park Service that show that Trump drew fewer people than Obama or even Bush's second inaugural as well as today's Women's March. But watch this:

He's starts with a baseless lie about his crowd and then goes on about how he's catching CNN/the media in a lie... IT'S BONKERS.

Reminds me of the video of Obama addressing a protester compared to Trump's description of it:

Pathological. Liar.

There is no other way to describe it. And hell, these crowds and that video are mostly trivial in the grand scheme of this political debate we're having, but it's undeniable evidence that this man can't let shit go and will lie about anything to prop up his own name.

He didn't say he's taking off. Taking off means leaving or going on vacation. The National Park Service doesn't release numbers so there's no way of you knowing

Everyone I know at least carries pepper spray. It isn't a personal problem. It is a real threat. I'm sure no one you know had been raped, but really they don't want to tell you because you are an asshole.

How come this is the only crime that is the fault of the person experiencing it?

Tell them to move out of those liberal shithole cities.
