anyone get the impression Lue doesn't want LBJ back? wants to take over the teamand not have to cater to LBJ
If that's the case, I raise Sexton minutes from 2 minutes a game to 10 minutes a game.Lue will most likely stay. I just heard that he had a big part/say in drafting Sexton.
Are we going to get the Tyronn Lue that didn't play Kyle Korver because the Celtics didn't play Semi Ojeleye? If LeBron doesn’t come back you’re getting a different Ty Lue...
The mission will be different, the style will be different and the coaching will be different..
My preference would be for a new voice just because you’re still gonna have enough left over vets on this team— but I think you’re gonna get a new Lue...
Ty saw something !! Kyle Korver had already checked out.... See June! Are we going to get the Tyronn Lue that didn't play Kyle Korver because the Celtics didn't play Semi Ojeleye?
Because if so, I don't want that guy either.
I find it an interesting disconnect between what the fans perceive as a good NBA coach versus what some of the marquis players value.
What you say is true. But there's more to it than that. Players have to coexist with the coaching staff on a day to day basis and they are as much in the loop as anyone. Fans have virtually no personal interaction with either and they have no first hand info other than what they are fed by media.Of course there's a disconnect -- we don't place the same value on the same things.
Fans value -- almost exclusively -- how well the team performs over the course of a season. Individual players value their personal happiness/fulfillment on a day to day basis. There's some overlap there, but there are differences as well. A coach who caters to a particular player's desires/whims, defers to that player, show them extra levels of respect or deference to their preferences, etc., is more likely to be preferred by that player.
Fans don't give a shit about any of that.
