Tyronn Lue has been fired

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I still disagree with not putting Kyrie in for free throws late, but there's no denying that that second half was a fantastic coaching job. I'd still like to see Derrick at some point, but he's done a pretty solid job thus far.

And he may be the best coach in the league at ATO plays. Going back to the playoffs last year, seems the Cavs get good looks on almost every single one late.

Hats off to Lue for orchustrating the comeback and getting lebron at the PF so he can attack. Props to Lebron for GOATing the game completely.

Some credit for the first half lead by the pacers has to go to their coaching staff who rightly predicted the cavs would try to trap everything and had their team spaced and shooting with confidence. Changing to a switching pick and roll defense helped slow their roll and the lack of space cooled down the role players

shump played great defense 3Q of last game... that counts... right???

here is the issue, this core played good enough defense to win a championship. Right now they arent even trying

Players can improve or decline as individuals, you don't think?

Inbounce plays after time outs are amazing.

I think most of us here have issues with Ty playing Lebron so much and other stuff.. but he simply deserves a big pile of Credit for this comeback. He made adjustments at halftime that worked.. and had the guts to rest 2 All Stars in favor of the Lineup that worked.

Its only one Game in the First Round but still.. the Second half was the most resillient i have seen this Team all year or at least since the Christmas comeback against GSW. They never gave up.. defended and played great Offense.

Good Job Ty.. now keep it up!

Lue coached a great last 17 minutes last night

I haven't had a good thing to say about him in months outside of one inbounds play in game 1.

Really my only complaint, I kept telling the TV if there was one time to put in Kyrie...

Bron's new form hasn't yielded a great night from the line yet, and everyone else who went to the line managed to miss at least one FT late.

That game could've been iced, but Kyrie not playing for a while is likely why he was out, can't complain about the win though.

I wonder if Lue kept Kyrie out of the end of the game for FTs because he wanted to light a fire under Kyrie's ass a la Shump getting benched in Game 1. Kyrie needs to bring WAY more defensive intensity and more consistency in his offense.

Plus, the lineup that got us all the way back deserved to close the game out; they earned that right by breaking Indiana's back.

I think Love and Kyrie sitting the whole quarter was sending a message as well as it was trying to win the game. They were both horrendous in the minutes that they played. Kyrie went back to playing selfish no defense basketball and Love stopped doing everything once he missed shots.

Out of time outs, Lue is the best coach the Cavs have had in a really long time. It's easy to take for granted, but they seem to ALWAYS get a wide open 3 or easy look in the paint.

Lue wanted to make a point to both Kyrie and Love. Better to do it now against the Pacers than wait to try something like that in the next round. Both Kyrie and Love need to get the message that if you don t play defense Lue will sit their asses down.

Looks like he already abandoned the new form and went back to what is comfortable.

Do you all think it was LeBron or Lue's decision to keep the bench on the floor with LeBron? I just feel like that's why LeBron doesn't criticize Lue because Lue let's him make all the decisions.
