I mean when he was talking about the Trade deficit before it was pretty clear he thought it was the same thing as the national debt. Alarming to say the least.

    I will weigh in here.

I do not feel Trump has "shit the bed " with China. The Chinese reneged on trade points thinking Trump is weakened by the hooha. He is right to follow through. While it hurts distributors selling chinese goods, it has two good effects right now. 1) it increases demand for US made goods. And 2) it creates uncertainty about the wisdom of moving operations from the US to China..

For too long we have been comfortable with our major corporations putting their capital dollars off shore, leaving hulks of empty factories and pockets of shitty job markets behind. We have not only exported our jobs, but also our expertise in making things, and we crippled a generation of middle class along the way, all for short term gain.

China is not a free market democracy folks. They are a tyranical regime which suppresses speech, and oppresses ethnic minorities.. They are actively stealing technology from us and attempting to monopolize key supply chains..

He's also talking out of both sides of his mouth. The tax bill gave breaks to business moving over seas.

Something is happening with respect to Iran. Bolton and Pompeo are noted war hawks who have an axe to grind with Iran.

    Trump basically confirms the plans.

Britain’s Top general essentially confirmed that the US has been cooking the intel, that there has been no aggression in Iraq and Syria.

Oh great so we messed up an entire region and emboldened Isis, and now we want to destabilize the whole thing much more severely.

Bolton did such a good job in Iraq and Afghanistan, surely he can't lose this one too.

Fucking Bolton. Coward won't even fight in his own wars. @MediumBaller

Another war would go over like a shart during Endgame.*

    * Being that a shart is a nasty piece of business. Wet, and increasingly cold, it smells wretched. However, it is Endgame and you can't get up! You might miss something. But then the people around you start to smell the congealed shit in your drawers. But they can't get up either. So, in the end, it lingers.

War should be a line in the sand for the Democrats. They cannot allow Trump to make a unilateral push toward war with Venezuela or fucking Iran. That's the point where we leave "shitty administrator/wannabe dictator" and dive into "world ruiner" with Trump. We can't afford another war, let alone an unjustified war, let alone an unjustified war with Trump at the helm.

    They should impeach him now.

Which incentives to move overseas? I honestly did not see that. I saw the component that benefits small pass through businesses..

In any case any one moving ops to china has to be rethinking that move right now..

I had no idea until now that he also dodged the Vietnam War, and even admitted to it several times.

Threat level has been raised out here. Local nationals not allowed on base at the moment. Baghdad Embassy, Erbil Consulate nonemergency personnel being ordered to depart. Because of "heightened tensions" with Iran.

    Fun times

    Thanks Trump

The American Prospect is a daily online and quarterly print American political and public policy magazine dedicated to American liberalism and progressivism. Based in Washington, D.C., The American Prospectsays it aims "to advance liberal and progressive goals through reporting, analysis, and debate about today's realities and tomorrow's possibilities."[3]

They are cherry picking from 162 pages of review..

But even if such an incentive exists, my point stands that recent events including the china tarifs and the puerto rico hurricane have corporations re-evaluating their supply chain decisions. Simply chasing low cost labor is not actually succeeding..

Tax shinanigans have been around a long time. In 1980, my father unearthed a tax harboring scheme at the major company he worked for. He was tasked to figure how how costs at a plant in europe were lower than a larger plant in Ohio. It turns out accountants were shifting costs out of the european plant into the overhead in Ohio, because they had a more favorable tax deal in the small country in Europe. This inflated the costs in Ohio, driving a decision to produce more goods in Europe, and to shut down a line in Ohio. When the shifting was accounted for the line in ohio was actually 10 percent lower cost per pound than the European plant.. that said, the tax package as it has impacted me has made it cheaper for me to employ people here. Also business is booming, especially in the manufacturing sector..
