Week 1 (9/13): Browns @ Jets [1:00 PM EST, CBS]

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Tony Romo just went for 356yds on 3td/2int and singlehandedly guided a last second TD drive. And it looked completely effortless.

Has there been a QB on this team since 1999 where he'd walk out on the field and you felt like that was something that could just happen?

I'd have rimmed fat Jessica Simpson for four hours straight for a QB that could do that.

The Browns need to be kicked out of Cleveland and a completely new team formed. The real Browns left 16 years ago.

Colt Mccoy never got a fair chance

Nope we got to see the great Weeden get lost under an American flag... That is what get to and feel as Browns fans. Who else gets to see that from their QB's yeah.

I'd have done that for a can of tuna.

I don't think the dude guided any last second drives. Had 2-3 good games, one against the Bengals if I recall.

Romo gave me a puncher's chance down 6 with Matt Bryant against a possibly out Zac Ertz tomorrow

Boy, sure regretting my Peyton Manning pick.

Could have led us to a playoff victory against the Steelers if Dennis Northcutt got his ass out of bounds.....or was it some other stiff wideout.....

PS - I told you @The Oi

Do you think the Cowboy teams he's been on are better than all of the Browns teams since 99?

He's won two more playoff games than the Browns have since 99.

It was a 16 yard pass to Andre King with 7 seconds left :(

Alright so get serious:
-Manziel blew it last year. He is essentially a rookie. It's like a deferred 1st round pick. Now he is thrown into the fire and we see what we got. I am on board with using this year to figure out whether we need to address the position, and for that, we need for him to play.
-NYJ defense is good. I think we will look better on both sides of the ball next week.
-we simply have to stop the run. We have to risk leaving our talented secondary to do so.
-I didn't watch a single minute of the game but I did install these great recessed lights and played w my kids all day and did s bunch of pull-ups. I couldn't imagine just posting up and watching the Browns for hours. I am a completely secure fair weather fan.

And that last drive was with Cole Beasley as his best WR and Joseph Randle as the starting RB. Not like he's surrounded by talent.

Cowboys have the clear-cut best offensive line in the NFL and Romo made some bad throws in the second and third quarters... that said, I watched and always felt like the Cowboys were going to pull it out. The Giants aren't that good and they got lucky on defense a few times. I will also say that at no time did Romo dive head-first into two linebackers like concussions are a splendid little afternoon pick-me-up.

Romo also saw every single Giants blitz coming and changed the play almost perfectly every time. Last time you thought a Browns QB could do that?

1988. Romo would without a doubt be the best Browns QB since Bernie before he resembled a side of tenderized beef.

Romo had a gunslinger game, par for the course for him. His mistakes and successes control the outcome of the game.

I'm not sure what you're getting at here.

Are you asking if the talent around him has been better? Yes.

Or if his teams have been better? Yes.

Or if I'd have preferred watching the Browns go 10-6 every year and lose in the first round or go 6-10 every year and not make the playoffs? The answer is choke in the playoffs.
