Good news is we stopped the run for the first time ever and we might not see a better QB/WR combo. Outside of Brown, the Steelers did little.

Inexcusable punt botch to start the game and you just can't have a sack on every drive and expect to put up points. A lot of that was Kizer today, but we continuously fail to pressure the opposing QB while ours is getting hit repeatedly.

Pleasantly surprised.

Hate the deep safety thing.

Corey Coleman was a top-15 pick. That is all.
Wow wonder why you drew the line at 15

You could just, ya know, say that he was the 15th pick instead of trying to put a spin on it.

But really what am I missing here? Coleman wasn't great but he finished with 5 catches, 53 yards, and a touchdown (which was a great catch)

Why is he the new whipping boy? I don't get it

Corey Coleman was a top-15 pick. That is all.

And I thought he looked pretty damn good today. Got separation, showed a ton of quickness and hung onto the ball, specially that blatantly illegal hit from Wilcox. Seems like the Kizer to Coleman connection will only get better with time/reps.

Well, they took a timeout first, presumably to "decide" if they should challenge..

if you "have to", you should just challenge immediately, forget taking the timeout. Wasted 2 timeouts in that scenario.

And after a whole timeout to review the play, not sure why youd challenge a for sure catch
I agree wasting 2 is bad but they didn't show a replay till after he called the timeout. I don't agree it was a for sure catch. Replay didn't confirm the call. Huge difference if that's called incomplete.

I definitely wasn't impressed by Kizer today.

All those sacks were because he held on the ball way too long.

The Defense might be the real deal. Can't wait for Garret to get healthy.

I wasn't super impressed per se, but I saw a lot of good things. Really strong arm. Made some great throws. Moved around in the pocket several times to buy time. Made good choices on when to run.

He HAS to get rid of the ball quicker or he won't make it through 8 games. He over threw some guys that were open, particularly down the field.

The promising thing was only the one INT and he did show at times that he could make a quick read and get rid of the ball. He has to do it more consistently if he wants to play more than 8 games.

Still excited to see how he develops this year. Going to be a little limited based on the WR though.

Kizer will be a stud, erase Britt, Louis, Seattle scrub and add 2 freakish WRs with 2 of our top 3 picks and I'll ride with the QB that played very good today in terms of 1st game ever.

Adding to this, he had 5 catches on 6 targets for 53 yards and a TD. Going to him definitely wasn't the problem in our passing game today, it's just that the other WRs (I'm looking at you Britt) need to do a better job.

Since everyone wants to give a hot take....

Browns defense is top 5 in the NFL.

Kizer showed me enough to have A TON of hope.

Browns are the 2nd best team in the AFCN.

Why not throw the flag first instead of wasting two timeouts?

That was awful. And let's not forget he didn't just take the delay of game earlier, being down by two scores. Even though we converted the 4th, we got no points out of it. Just made no sense to waste a time-out then, knowing you'll need them being down two scores!

Hue badly mismanage the timeouts badly. Not saying that's why we lost, but it was shitty decisions nevertheless.

The Steelers played bad on offense.

BOOOOOOOOO

They played well but not great. They stopped them a lot with some impressive plays. Shobert or however you spell it got burned by inches on two TDs. Two huge AB catches and that PI burned them. They'll improve and eventually get the #1 pick back.

To rag on the defense of all things is lame.

Hmmmm. Could that be because our defense actually played well? But, hey, keep up with your dipshit troll schtick.
Could be. It seemed as if when the Steelers needed to make a big play to survive they had their way with the Browns defense which makes me believe they weren't clicking on all cylinders. The Browns couldn't stop them in clutch situations.
