Here we Brownies, here we go!

After starting the season 0 - 3, the Houston Texans have rattled off eight straight wins. The team is built to defend and win close games, and lately that has been a recipe for success. I selfishly counted myself among those who hoped back and knee injuries would cut JJ Watt's dominance short, especially after he missed so many games last year. He has paid no attention to my wishes and has double digits sacks and TFLs. Clowney on the other edge is also putting together a Pro Bowl type season against the run and in QB pressures. In between the bookends are some unsung but talented interior defensive tackles. They have weaknesses at linebacker, but the addition of Honey Badger solidified their defensive backfield enough to mask the linebackers. On offense, the offensive line is shaky but Watson has willed his team to a lot of close victories.

The Browns started off 4 1/2 point dogs, and that number increased to 5 1/2 point dogs because of the Texans consistent poise in close games and the loss of their owner Bob McNair.

If I were in a Vegas sportsbook right now, I'd take the Browns plus the 5 1/2 and laugh my way to the cashier Sunday night. However, I'm not confident the Browns are going to win this thing outright on the road against a Texans team who are rallying around the passing of their owner.

Prediction:

Texans 21 Browns 17 with multiple field goals biffed.

Prediction: Browns over Texans 35-28.

Narrative: Baker Mayfield rallies his troops back from 14-down at half, to score 21-unanswered points and a go-ahead touchdown pass with just seconds to play.

..

I'm loving this confident and rejuvenated Browns team. It's rubbing off on the whole fanbase. Let's get us a big statement win on Sunday!

I don't think the Texans are nearly as good as their record

That said I think a running QB is going to add a new challenge for us. I love Myles, but I think he's going to get burned a few times in this game losing contain because his mind right now is all about sacks and DPOY. Myles can be over aggressive at times (as can clearly be seen by his 1 offsides per game) and I think The Texans will take advantage of that. Sometimes the best pass rush against a mobile QB is the pass rusher who is waiting on the edge contained for when that QB gets happy feet. But lose contain and Watson will be off to the races

I'll take the Browns in this one

The defense will finally get to Baker, and a running QB is our defenses biggest weakness.

This is a tough match up on the road against a playoff team. I don't think we win this one and wont be disappointed if we lose.

That said if we come in and win, then a wild card is a legit possibility. Who would of thought we could say that with 4 games to go?

I don't get to watch the game, so......we win by 23

Robinson and Hubbard are going to make a huge difference in this game for better or worse; it’s my hope Kitchens has had Mayfield running some stuff this week which calls for quick releases. Safety valves and shorter routes I’d have to imagine will be called frequently to mitigate what seems to be a pretty good pass rush.

I don’t know man; this is fun because it’s week 13 and the season is still quite fucking interesting so that’s something fairly new.

I feel ok about Robinson vs Clowney. Clowney doesnt really have much moves other than the bull rush. And Greg can definitely handle that.

Hubbard vs Watt will he a bloodbath, though. Chip and double him all day.

Dont feel great about this one.

63-0 Browns.

Terrified.

Texans 24
Browns 10

Please please please don’t blitz Watson. Contain him.

LETS GO BROWNS!

I hope we dont get the ball first!

Man, what a hold on the edge.
