Week 15 (12/20): Browns (3-10) @ Seahawks (8-5) [4:05 PM EST, FOX]

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Absolutely. Contenders are the kind of teams that patch holes. Teams that suck as bad as the Browns need to put foundational pieces in place. Thus, even if Manziel is just mediocre, we should still look to fix the position.
How can you tell what a qb can do if you don't give him tools to do it.

if the Browns have a shot at Bosa,Ramsey, miles jack or Jaylon smith. They should take them.

Wait, what does the defensive talent on this team have to do with Manziel's ability to play QB?

Best game this team has had in two weeks. They added another to the L column, Johnnie looked pedestrian and the team is one step closer to their choice of QBs or Bosa.

Manziel is below average, defense is bottom level terrible, team doesn't have a great deal of weapons.

Arguing about who was more at fault is a waste of time. They're all at fault, this is a team.

Defense had 1 stop all game, but lets talk QB. Keep dreaming about Goff or Lynch or whoever you want, but the reality of it is whoever is back there isn't going to have success with Taylor Gabriel, Terrelle Pryor, and Marlon Moore as their weapons and defense that can't even get lucky enough to get more than 1 stop a game.
You conveniently gloss over Benjamin, Duke, and Barnidge. Same group of players McCown had success with all season.

A great quarterback makes his teammates better. I've not seen anything close to that.

Did they have drops? Sure. Did Johnny show that he's even close to elite in any category? Sure didn't.

I left them off the list because they are actually NFL caliber players. 22nd in yards/game, 29th in point/game, and one win. Ton of success. Nobody is talking elite and Manziel. This is the worst set of skill players in the league, but let's keep pretending like we win games with them. Sure has worked so far!

I cant wait for Goff to come in here and win 10 games with this team of bums.

Goff would probably be the only acquisition this off-season.

Great point. Never thought of that.

Never mind the fact you completely ignored a number of other "weapons" on offense, can you please name the Carolina Panthers starting WR's?

I've heard more excuses for Johnny than Brady Quinn or Col McCoy. He's not good at anything out there.

This.

The Browns have a 1000 yard receiver, a tight end who is going to Hawaii, a young running back who is the third best pass-catcher in the NFL (per PFF).

There are a couple weapons out there, and they're by no means a great offensive football team.

To call them the worst in the league is a terrible excuse, not remotely true.

Capping it off with the smarmy "Can't wait for Goff to come in here and win 10" stuff is just childish. At least be as consistent with your excuses for Manziel as you are other players on the field.

Nauseating.

Better yet, what were Russell Wilson's weapons today?

Devin Funchess (a guy man claimed on here as "too slow") and Ted Ginn. Corey Brown as well (though I believe he got hurt). I think Cotchery is on the team. But lets not forget about Greg freakin Olsen. I like how you put "weapons" in quotations. While Cam is playing at an MVP level, a big reason they are undefeated is because of that defense. I mean I'm pretty sure Derek Anderson has stepped in and won a few games for them.

I'm not making any excuses for Manziel, I'm saying nobody else is going to come in here and have success with this shit show. It'll just be another life cycle of suck of the Browns killing QBs by expecting them to succeed with a shitty team. I get I'm arguing with the crowd that wrote Manziel off before he even played a snap/just don't like the guy, but at least try to be objective. See you guys next week. Looking forward to more discussion as to how Goff is going to save the franchise.

Devin Funchess has 22 catches this season.

Teddy Ginn and Corey Brown (who isn't injured) are pretty well league average or below, as is Cotchery.

Barnidge and Olsen are virtually the same.

So I mean, yeah...The Browns probably have a better set of weapons up until the Hartline injury.

Looking at it objectively, you're obviously wrong here.

Might be time for another "Goff is the franchise savior" joke.
