Week 16: Browns @ Panthers; 1:00 P.M. CBS

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Coaching was horrible today.

There was a play early on 2nd and short where they motioned Taylor Gabriel who's probably the smallest guy on the team between the guard and center and used him as a lead blocker?

On the play Johnny got hurt you call a QB sprint out on your side of the 50 in a 2 minute drill?

The clock mismanagement was on cue again today. Should have challenged the catch by Hawkins as well. Shanny thinks he's the smartest guy in the room calling plays.

So the Browns will lose today and next week and close the season out Can we really say they're bringing anything positive into this coming off-season?
We can run the ball when our offensive line is healthy.

Why play safe? We are eliminated. Try to get a damn touchdown. We hadn't scored one in 2.5 games, you have to go for it when you get close.
If we fail and get shut out then it puts his job in so much more in jeopardy. You take what is given.

If Harbaugh is interested due to the personnel, then Pettine is gone.

Pettine will be a victim of his early success. He's safe this year, but when we take a step back to less wins with a tougher schedule next season, he'll likely get canned.

Harbaugh is likely to take the Miami or Chicago jobs, if his wife wants to stay in California I could see the Raiders as an option. Browns would be fools to switch coaches, no matter what happens at the end of a season when the team is mathematically eliminated from the playoffs. Injuries proved to be too much to overcome.

Hamstring, huh?

Pettine kicking FGs costs us the game. Glad we always find the play it safe coaches that can grind out losses even though we have nothing to lose.

This team still blows. The hot start will cost Pettine his job after we take a step backwards in the W/L column with the tougher schedule next year.

Get ready to start this all over again real soon.

Don't do this to yourself.

The offenses clear inability to do anything productive cost them the game.

Blaming Mike Pettine isn't going to make you feel any better.

One TD and PAT is worth more than 2 FGs. I can show you the math if needed.

When you go 10 quarters without a TD and you have nothing to lose, stop kicking FGs on 4th and short.

That such a loser thing to do. Let me play it safe even though the season is already lost.

Because the touchdown was guaranteed.

Because we lost.

And pretending it's because of the field goal is just lying to yourself.

They lost because they have no offensive identity without a QB. You can be ballsy (or stupid) and go for it on fourth down, but it's not going to change the fact that this team doesn't have a QB capable of consistent production.

SItuationally, with respect to being out of it, you go for it.

But agreed...they'd have lost anyways.

Good lord I remember when this season was exciting, we were in contention, and I felt happy to be a Browns fan....

Wasn't that like 3 weeks ago?

I've never seen a team that could flush a season faster. Wow... Difference in real contenders vs. pretenders, I guess.

Has Kyle Shannahan called a single HB screen pass all season?
