Week 3 9/25 Browns(0-2) @ LOLphins (0-2)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Apparently Grossi said the coaches wanted Robbie Gould but front office brought Parkey.. Hmmmm

I thought Kessler looked like the 2nd best rookie qb in the NFL today.

Make of that what you will. I am interested to see what he can do and how he can develop with more time. He CAN make all the throws.

Also, Pryor is unguardable. What a beast.
Yeah, too bad the Browns weren't able to draft the best rookie quarterback so far. Oh, wait..

And after that first series, he never really made any noticeable mistakes. Most plays he made were the right one/smart one. Never got shaken from the pass rush he was facing.

Definitely an encouraging performance. Should get better with time/Coleman & Gordon returning.

In case anyone was still in denial, Wentz is good

He is very good, dont want him to be, but he is.

Thing is Kessler looked good too. Played good enough missing our 2 best wr's on the road to win but our kicker cant hit a fg.

Not saying Kessler is as good as Wentz, but Hue knows its not just skill at QB, but also the situation you are drafted into. Wentz here in Cleveland doesnt look nearly as good as he does with a much better Philly team.

In the end a saw many encouraging signs. Several of the rookies looked good. Center looked decent fro the firs time, now RT looks like hot garbage, but one position at a time i guess.

BTW, am I the only one that thinks Ben Rothilberger looks like Will Ferrell?

so you thought he was better than Wentz?

This was a very deep draft class for QB. More guys like joe flaco and eli manning than Andrew luck and Cam newtons.

so far all the rookie qbs we have seen have shown game management acumen and a penchant not to force the ball into interceptions.

We ill see how they handle defensive adjustments later in the season but they are putting together solid outings as a group

Pretty much.... I've always mistaken Ben for baby shit.... Dead ringer

Fucking shame to lose that way. Kessler deserved to win his first NFL start. I am interested to see how the offense looks when Pryor and Gordon are options to throw to.

Should be interesting, assuming Gordon comes back "interested" in getting his NFL career on track.

Kessler looked legit. That 2pt conversion throw was a thing of beauty. I would like to see him get the ball in the endzone. If he can do that at a consistent rate this year, I wouldnt be against keeping him. If we have to rely heavily on our FG kicker & TP, GTFO.

What I didnt like:
-Seemed reluctant to run. While he may not be the best athlete, there were a few times his legs could have put him in a better position.
-Couldnt get in the endzone. Is that him, or is that the play calling?

What I liked:
- Excellent poise
- Touch was good for the most part
- He knew when to throw it away
- Did a hell of a job against a front 7 that was coming just about every play.
- Strong throws gave me hope for his deep game
- Could fit it in anywhere

That was a certain right tackle. Every time they got in the red zone penalties killed the drive.

Totally agree. Just stating it because thats one thing that "hurt" his debut stat line. Well that and a win, which he put them in place to do.

BY my count he had 4 pretty big throws (Lewis, Pryor, Barnidge, forgot the fourth). One he was poised and stepped into a hit, one was on the run, and the other two were off of play action. He literally made all the throws. I would just like to see a few result in TDs.

No way Pasztor starts again...right?

I dont know, would you say that the first sentence would clarify that statement.

No I wasnt talking about Prescott
What has Wentz done better than Prescott? besides having more passing touchdowns.
and how would you say Kessler showed himself as better than Prescott at this point?
