Week 4 2018 | Browns @ Raiders

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
No. Fuck that. Fuck moral victories.

This team should have won this game. Fuck moving in the right direction. All they did last year was lose close games with less talent. They've had about 15 moral victories in the past year or so. This year they're 0-1-1 in overtime. Penalties killed this team. Turnovers killed this team. Drops killed this team. Referees killed this team. Not being disciplined killed this team.

I'm sick and tired of this team being the fucking doormats of the NFL and not being able to execute when it counts. Hue's scrotum needs to drop down from his brain and he needs to call out the piss poor officiating that turned the tide of this game. Even then I think they should leave the coaching staff in Oakland.
Moral Victory ?

Browns are evaluating a potential franchise qb.

Browns had 4 games loss by 7 points or less last season.
Browns scored more than 20 points 4 times last season.

loss sucks but there is things to build on.

as far as disciplined . its young team that's happens

Ultimately though if you want to point at someone for this loss that's not the refs blown calls. It is Baker Mayfields 4 turnovers.

I still don't think Hue gets canned. What would he have to do to get canned, that he hasn't already done? I think he's here for the long-haul. I think he either has incriminating pictures of Jimmy, or he is giving Dee the deep-dick.

I think they just kept him around for one more year because no one good was going to want to take that Browns job coming off 0-16. Win a couple of games this year while Baker establishes himself as the QB of the future and suddenly this is a pretty appealing job in six months.

Losing with a talented roster is going to be his downfall.

It just would be really difficult for me personally to support the organization if Hue, Greggggg and Amos are still here this time next year.

Those three are beyond incompetent.

So how much money was on the line for the refs to do everything they could for the Raiders to cover the 2.5 spread with an game winning FG?

This is a bad team. Saying “we should be 4-0” is laughable. But people are saying it.

I'm honestly not sure how you can say this one isn't largely on the refs when a pivotal call that would have ended the game was badly overturned. Two, if you want to count the fumble that was called back.

Stating the number of close losses last year sounds a lot like pointing out moral victories to me, but to each their own. All of the Browns' games this year have been decided by less than a touchdown. Guess what? They've still managed to win exactly one of those games, tying once (almost twice) and losing two.

But hey, you're right. I feel so much better losing close games this year with more talent as opposed to losing close games last year with less talent.

A loss is a loss, whether your QB throws for 400 yards or manages to turn it over 4 times. And it fucking sucks.

If you're alright with tying games and losing close ones, more power to you. The vast majority of fans in this city deserve better.

I didnt get a chance to watch the game after the first quarter. Can someone explain the carr call. Even if a play is blown dead they can still go back and call it a fumble if there was clear recovery. So what was the exact ruling?

It's a poorly coached team that consistently beats itself with mental mistakes and self inflicted wounds like drops and penalties.

It's not a bad football team at all in terms of talent.

We have talented starters but once Mitchell went down a huge hole open up in the secondary. We started playing alot of zone.

I agree alot of it fall on coaching but this team isn't deep enough yet become of constant regime changes.

The coaches also don't have a winning mentality. We saw alot of times in the past couple years that Hue will play not to lose instead of putting his foot down and run up the score. That's what happen today. Up 2 touchdown and the coaching staff didn't feel like they needed to score anymore.

I'm not a guy that's going to blame the refs, the Browns had their chances and probably should've won this football game...

That said..

I'm honestly confused as to why Myles sack in the 4th quarter wasn't a fumble. I've watched a lot of football. I played college ball. I'm currently a football coach. I've never seen anything like that in my life. I'm honestly wondering if someone can explain to me why this wasn't considered a fumble? The ball came out as soon as he was hit. I have no idea how anyone in the NFL office can justify that call. I understand that refs will miss calls, but this was unreal. I'm curious to see if the NFL will have anything to say. That was horrendous.

Hyde got the 1st down. Easily. The game was, literally, over. We won.

The Carr fumble being blown dead was a disgrace as well.

At least we have even more evidence now to prove how fucking terrible the NFL is. Next idiot who sticks up for this pathetic league can just be shown those two plays.

This just isn't right.. the more I watch this is in live speed it's a complete joke that its not a fumble. In fact its next level criminal.
