Week 4: The Battle of Ohio, Browns vs. Bengals, 1pm, 10/01/17

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I saw absolutely no redeeming qualities in the team or the coaching staff today. None.

Can they turn it around next week? Maybe. There's always a chance.

I put the majority of what we're seeing on Hugh and Greg. If those two don't look themselves in the mirror after watching this week's game video and change how they're doing business, then Haslam should be calling them on the carpet.
3rd and 18

Safeties 30 yards off the ball so we don't get beat over top

Dalton has an easy throw down the seam for a 20 yard gain for a first down. The safety on that side was still about 5-10 yards away

For the love of God if we don't scrap the 2 30 yard deep safeties I'm going to lose it

First of all, you guys need to throw 1999-2015 out of your minds. All irrelevant to the current team and regime. You need to look at last year as an expansion year.

Did we know 2016 would be bad? Yes.

Did we know 2017 would be bad? Yes. (at least some of us did).

I looked at the schedule and had us at 0-4. And that was before I knew about Myles injury, Collins concussion, Shelton's injury, Coleman's injury, and having a rookie QB.

The Defense was missing 3 starters today. The offense its best WR. Our rookie K missed a makeable FG which deflated the team.

The next 8 games are winnable. And so is the Bears game. I had us at 4-12 this year with a range of 2-6 wins. I'm more like 2-14 with a range of 1-3 wins now. Today was bad. It hopefully was the bottom.

The play calling sucked, but down 21-0 we had to sling it. Kizer looks like a 21 year old rookie because he is a 21 year old rookie. Our receivers are shitty.

It's important to not give up. We are in the second year as an expansion team. This is disappointing but expected. Let's hope big Myles makes an impact next week. I'm not sure how to fix the offense right now, but playing from behind (Browns have led for 0 seconds this year) hasn't helped.

Holy fuck, what an absurd statement.

Kizer has no one to rely on. His running game is non-existent. And he is a 21 year old rookie with obvious mechanical flaws.

Not exactly sure what anyone could see today and then say that Deshone is ever in the top 100 problems.

Start with our shitty ass WRer play and go from there.

Holy fuck? Absurd statement?

I'm saying he's not ready to be an NFL QB right now. Please tell me where I'm wrong.... I think he has a ton of potential but he's not there yet. He's been horribly mismanaged by Hue Jackson and the Browns organization has set him up for failure.

Sorry you don't like my opinion but Kizer and Jackson ARE killing this offense. Just take a look at the stats, it's indisputable. Yeah, the Browns WR's are garbage but it doesn't excuse his performance. DeShone Kizer is completely overwhelmed out there and he can't read a defense so why are the Browns forcing him to play?

Under better circumstances, I could understand the idea behind letting a 21 year old QB play thru the growing pains but this is worse than expected. How does he survive this season and keep his confidence going into the future? Who thought it was a good idea to take a QB who was seen as a massive project during the draft process and make him an opening day NFL starter his rookie season?

DeShone Kizer is a bad NFL QB right now. He seems like a great kid. I think he has a boatload of potential, and I hope he lives up to that potential one day, but the Browns are ruining his career. I just don't know what the Browns hope to gain by embarrassing the kid week after week.

Wait someone wishes Mccown was still qb. Shut the thread down and burn it.

Sorry I'd rather watch Josh McCown than the ruining of the "QB of the future" on live television.

Why not let McCown or Kessler or Hogan take the embarrassment and the beatings while Kizer learns how to play NFL QB?

I don't disagree, but would benching him hurt his confidence more? Hue and Sashi fucked up by not bridging Kizer until the bye. But that has sailed so we have to go full Aikman in year 1. I have a feeling we will be better after the bye with Myles, Collins, Coleman, Shelton and.... Flash? Could he come save the WR corp? Big if true.

"If" Garrett is as advertised.
"If" Gordon comes back and is true to whatever form we saw him last

Then yes, this team's W/L record goes from 0 to 1, to 4-5.

But...that is the question at this point, is it not?

Otherwise...they are the exact same team as last year with a few different parts. That's not a slam on the likes of Peppers, NJoku...but really there impact is not as significant as the people I just typed.

Please, give us more of your predictions and thoughts on how we should feel. Please, enlighten us.:vio (3):
