Week 7: Your 0 and 6 Browns vs. The Titans

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Titans kicker missed the FG but the 2 minute warning blew the play dead. Free practice kick. Fuck it, we're done.

He knew it was a timeout/two-minute, just pooched the kick on purpose. Notice the second one had way more distance?

Succop is really good. Never had any doubt he'd nail it.

I really can't defend Hue at this point. I just hope this front office hangs around.

I don’t think we’re making the playoffs

Nice that two of our coaches are also fucking cartoon ducks.

I feel like a post like this is intentionally misleading.

It ignores that:

1. That 2016 first rounder has looked good when healthy, but has struggled with injuries. The talent is there clearly. And historically, WRs don't tend to hit their stride until year three anyway. There are outliers, sure, and the Evans/OBJ/Cooper draft class really fucked up expectations for the guys who followed, but generally that rule exists for a reason.

2. Yeah, one 2017 first rounder hasn't looked great. However, your post sure as hell doesn't mention that the other two first rounders look awesome. And while I agree Peppers hasn't been good, he's a fucking rookie. Give the kid some time.

3. No real argument on the Kizer thing. I don't think he was necessarily a bad pick, though. The Browns took a shot on him and it looks like he's going to fail, but I can't really blame them for trying, especially in the second. And at any rate, his career isn't over yet. The bad coaching and playcalling certainly haven't put him in a position to succeed.

It's also disingenuous to say "based on what we've seen so far" when none of their picks are past their second season. Guys take time to develop, and we've seen a lot of positives from the guys they have drafted.
What is disingenuous about "based on what we've seen so far?" A the end of the day, that is what we have to go on.

Coleman hasn't been bad, but good seems like a stretch. Good for a rookie, I suppose. But average overall. He's got talent but I never thought he was a WR1 and I don't like the chances of him becoming one. He may have elite speed but there is a hell of a lot more to playing receiver than speed. We'll see how he develops but average play is not what you're looking for out of 1st round picks.

Joe Thomas going down pretty much assures 1-15 at best.

Hey guys at least the team is going to fucking London next week.

Maybe they can stay there with any luck!

Can't continue with Hue being HC and OC. He is failing miserably at both. Need to name a new play caller now and evaluate Hue as a head coach moving forward. It's beyond apparent that he is way over his head trying to be both.
