Week 8 (11/1): Cardinals (5-2) @ Browns (2-5) [1:00 PM EST, FOX]

I think you are failing to understand what I'm saying. You're backed up at the 10 yard line, with enough time left, if you go three and out. Punt the ball, you're giving the team likely great field position and enough time to put points on the board (which is what happen).

Dude, there's a lot of high percentage plays to run, one's that are safe, to at least move the ball. See if you get any momentum to run plays or kill the clock.

You're on the 10 yard line, not the 5, you don't risk a safety unless you're just a really stupid QB. I think a 36 year old veteran that's playing well deserves the benefit of moving the ball in that position.

To think no team at all in the NFL would do that is blatantly silly.

Compare the Browns to the Patriots? Um, exactly where did I say that. I said to think a team like the Patriots, Packers, you know GOOD teams would say "hey were are up 13, with over a minute left, let's just run the ball and get out of here" is absolutely funny.

I understand what you're saying but Arizona also had two timeouts. The Browns had to make Arizona use both TO's, one way or another. I think more coaches would err on the side of caution in that situation. I agree that the better teams in the league would pass it.... No harm.

Josh McCown is not the biggest problem here.

He might not be the problem, but he also might be bad luck.

Dating back to last season he is 2-15 in his last 17 starts I think. At some point you have to wonder why his great stats don't translate to wins.

Pettine made a big point of saying last week you can't win when you turn the ball over 4 times.

I would love for one of our beat writers to quote him at the press conference and ask him exactly what happened today then.

The guy is a joke.

Ok, so the Browns will definitely move to 2-7 by Friday. That would make us 2-12 in our last 14. Holy hell this is a disaster.

I am over the Josh McCown walking wounded act as well at this point. If they guy can't make it through the game without getting hurt than stop putting him out there. It isn't helping anyone.

The guy is 36, and clearly can't handle the beatings anymore than come with being the Browns QB.

At one point the Browns were +4 in turnovers but still losing by 4 points. That's a special breed of incompetence.

Not exactly a fair chance...

He played against a prevent defense and almost got his TE murdered, threw a deep pass to Hartline that ended up in Parma and threw a jump ball to a 5'9" WR.

I'm still in disbelief that people complain about McCown after seeing the alternative.....

I just thought we should have at least tried to convert a first down, and control the clock. I am not saying this means Pettine sucks and he blew it. We got beat by the better team.
I just worried once we gave them life, a team that's good, that's it.
I am just sick of losing. I hate it.
