Meaningless poll, but lets play....where will the pick end up after the lottery?

Pretty sure if the Lakers slot is 1 or 6 on down, PHI keeps it. Don’t think the Lakers get it under any condition.

Also, when talking about the draft slots that have won the 1st pick, do not forget that slots outside the top 3 also can and have jumped up to the 2nd and 3rd picks on lottery night.

So while it would be great of course to pick 1st, it’s more instructive to examine to number of times slots 4-7 have jumped into the top3, not just to one.

I don't think that is correct.

Philly traded the protected pick to Boston to move up for Fultz.

The pick still conveys to LA if it is 1 or 6 or below.

Boston just got the rights for 2-5 that Philly had. 76ers have no claim to the selection now.

I love watching the lottery. Some of the best television of the entire year.

If the Cavs get lucky again and win the lottery...having the #1 pick in this years draft would give us one of the greatest trade assets of the last decade...

We would have the trump card over all trade competition for any all stars that become available. We would even have the trump card over Boston unless they’d be willing to deal Tatum.

Obviously long way to go, won’t have amazing odds or anything...but man that would be exciting.

This is wrong. The Lakers do not get their pick under any circumstances.

If it is #1, or #6-30, it belongs to Philadelphia.

If it is 2-5, it Belongs to Boston.

If It doesn’t convey to the Celtics this year Boston gets the better pick between Sacramento and Philadelphia next year, unless one of the picks ends up #1, in which Philly will get #1 and Boston will get the other pick.

Lakers originally traded - first to the Suns in the Steve Nash deal. It was protected for top 5 first year and top 3 in 16-17. The Lakers kept the pick both years and it becomes unprotected for the 2018 draft.

Phoenix traded the pick to the Sixers in the MCW/Knight deal with the Bucks as third team.

Then philly traded it to Boston in the Fultz trade with the weird 2-5 only Protection or it is the 2019 Kings or Sixers Pick.

Maybe the most crucial stretch of the season coming up. Russell is back on Friday, but they're also starting a stretch of games against really tough teams. Hopefully Russell takes away playmaking and ball handling away from Dinwiddie, and his complete lack of defense results in a net negative for the Nets.

So many awful trades in that one post alone lmao.

Keep the pick. After the game tonight, it’s as clear as day that Lebron has one foot out the door.

Exactly. No trade is gonna close the gap on the warriors anyways. Stop doing everything lebron wants it’s screwed us in 2010 don’t do it now. When he left before we were old, over the cap, no draft picks etc. don’t make the same mistake again.

I agree...there's no magic bullet out there to use the pick on...Lebron or no Lebron keep it...If he's as smart as we think he'll realize that and be on board....Also when did this whole thing start that if your team has one bad year the players pick up and leave? Ridiculous...stick it out be a man...whatever you think of Gilbert he's given LBJ everything he could've asked for and more as far as spending

A few games to look out for tonight regarding pick.

IND @ LAL

praying for a Miami win , Memphis win , Phoenix win , Utah win & Lakers win. That would be beautiful. Fingers crossed

If we could flip IT for some defense and 2 way guys kemba wouldn’t be a bad option. If we could get kemba plus batum and MKG we could really help our defense.

Yeah, especially because Walker is signed through next year, at a good contract. Helps us convince LBJ to stay on at least one more year.

I'm assuming IT would go to a third team here, because they wouldn't really want him? They'd probably want Osman/Zizic/Picks. Maybe we can save better picks by taking a bad contract.

I just can’t see IT helping us win a title. If Elfrid Peyton can impose his will on him by driving inside on IT then we’re completely helpless come the playoffs and especially the finals. Kemba might not be a great defender but he’s got respectable size.

I'm very confused - Kemba is a decent defender despite not having respectable size. He's usually around top 1/3 in PG DRPM
