no way the Suns get the Brooklyn pick...they won't offer Booker or Jackson so no deal

Bledsoe isn't a good player and he's fragile. His offensive stats are inflated playing in PHX and his defense is greatly overrated. I wouldn't give anything of value for Bledsoe. Booker and Jackson like you said arent moving.

Only deal with PHX I would explore would be buying low on Marquise Chriss who has fallen out of favor in PHX. Chriss is perfect in today's NBA he can hit 3s block shots and has solid upside.

So suns can want the Nets pick all they want but they won't get it.
Chriss not good enough for the Suns but good enough for the Cavs (a top contender)???

It would be nice to get Bledsoe, he is more of a two-way player than anyone else we have, but what the hell would we do once IT comes back and we have Rose, Bledsoe, IT, Wade, Smith, etc. in the backcourt? IT and Bledsoe are a super small backcourt. Trade IT or Rose for Bledsoe, because of the extra contract year? Bledsoe would obviously be better defensively than IT but also a lot worse on offense. Probably overall a worse player.

Either way, no way we give the NJ pick for him.

I said get him cheap see if he fits. He fits today's NBA as a player whos athetlic can block shots and has range on offense. Its not his fault suns are morons. Do you watch basketball?

I have no interest in trading a first round pick at all for Bledsoe.

Not even our own 1st round pick?

I know we have Rose and IT but if we can get Bledsoe for Shump + our own 1st round pick, I will do that happily. We can't really depend upon Rose because with the way he plays, he is bound to miss games with injuries unless we are really lucky.

IT also, we don't know how good he would be after the hip injury.

Well, you can say that for everyone playing with a bad team. That they are able to inflate their stats as they get more touches etc.

We have seen Bledsoe play very well for good teams as well. Just a couple of years ago with Dragic and all. Granted its been few years but he is a better 3-point shooter now than he used to be those days. As for his defense being overrated, well may be it is. But, he is still a better defender than any guards we have and immediately becomes our 3rd best defender after LeBron and Crowder.

The only realistic player I'm trading this pick for is DeMarcus Cousins. Anyone else and we're better off keeping it. If we traded it for Eric freaking Bledsoe I wouldn't blame LeBron if he quit the next day and spent the rest of the year training.

I disagree he makes splash plays on defense he doesn't actually play good man to man defense. Lonzo just abused him and Lonzo was shut down by Pat Beverley in Lakers first game and struggled against Jameer Nelson and Jrue last night vs Pelicans.

So his defense really isn't good he gets torched constantly but he will make a block or get a couple steals so people praise his defense. Yes he is a flashy player who makes exciting plays but overall he's not a good player.

Bledsoe has looked completely uninterested this season. So, I won't be judging him based on that.

Also, the entire Phoenix team is filled with players who hardly give a fuck when it comes to defending. Can't blame them tbh as they have been openly tanking. Its not like Bledsoe has suddenly forgotten how to defend or has lost that quickness etc. Its more down to where he is imo. When you put a good player in a system surrounded by good players, he will thrive.

Not interested in dealing with a Klutch client who might end up benched/barely playing when IT comes back. He doesn’t fit great either and I don’t like the way he’s handled an admittedly tough situation in Phoenix.

Plus you lose the ability to trade the Bkn pick if we decide to go that route.

Agree 100%.

We have enough problem integrating our glut of guards already. I don't see how adding another one solves ANY of our problems.
