Welcome 8th Pick from Brooklyn

Meaningless poll, but lets play....where will the pick end up after the lottery?

I would have liked to see a Carter-Zizic front court pairing tbh. Just to watch those two guys dominate inside.

He might be the best big man ion the draft. Has all the intangibles, screens really well, opens up really well @ PnR, defends the perimeter, blocks shots and shoots from all 3 levels. Doesn't have the touch yet, but damn he knows how to play and plays strong.

I only need a game or two to spot the good ones.

You're wrong because he's not the best big man in the draft. People like to overanalyse and produce hot takes. It's not even close Ayton is on a different planet.

SGA and Melton look very smooth and impressive. I don't know if they have a higher ceiling than Sexton, but they know how to play the pointguard position and they have size. Sexton has the burst and athleticism but his lack of handles and shooting stroke greatly limits him.

Going forward, I hope that Sexton's work ethic propels him to be a better pro.

Since there are 14 picks in the lottery it can be broken into 3 tiers imo.

1-5 (early lottery)

6-10 (mid lottery)

11-14 (late lottery, if the draft is deep enough in talent this tier can extend out to the 20th pick)

Ayton sucks.

Should learn how to screen first.

Kevin Knox looking like a cornerstone player for the Knicks. One more season of tanking (assuming Porzingis sits all season although there are talks of him returning) + one more hit in the 2019 draft will make them enticing for 2019 free agents.

I'm starting to like Mitchell Robinson as a sleeper pick in the 8-10 range. Not too many true 7 footers with his handles, defensive awareness and soft shooting touch. Now, he's likely a knucklehead but maybe he's smartened up the past year or so.

7'1" with shoes, 223 pounds, with a 7'4" wingspan and 9'3" standing reach

Just checked in on the young man. Averaging 4pts, 4rbs and 4 blks in his past 5 games. Had a 9 block game against Orlando.

Hmmm...so giving a promising but raw center the starting spot over an established vet actually accelerated his development? I wonder if there's anything the Cavs can learn from this...

:chuckle:

Some of the Knox love from Summer League is not aging very well, lol.
