Just when Cedi was getting confident in recent games, he's out of the rotation.

One of the few Cavs I liked watching. He actually plays some defense and hustles for rebounds.

I understang Lue is trying to get Rose minutes but is he that obtuse to see that Cedi while making some mistakes still is one of their better defenders and brings so much energy

Where is bimbo's weekly Lue doesn't play/develops rookies gif ? told you and @buzzdog that Cedi would drop out of the rotation the minute Rose and Shump came back. Shump is even back yet, when he gets back Cedi is going to play -10 minutes a game.

Lue bashers were right and I was an early adopter... Lue doesn't play rookies unless he HAS to.

Lue bashers were right and I was an early adopter... Lue doesn't play rookies unless he HAS to.

I said that Lue clearly likes Osman and that is true. Lue is in the unfortunate position of having to squeeze too many players into too few minutes. Osman did drop off the roster for awhile and there's clearly got to be some moves made to clear out some space. FWIW Rose played well and his court presence was one of the few bright spots against OKC. At the moment Lue doesn't know who will still be here after the trade deadline. He is stuck with the reality that veteran players tend to trust other veteran players more than they trust rookies when it really counts. This will work itself out over the long haul and you can't evaluate the bigger picture based on a few games.

Hopefully the front office can pair down the roster thru trade so that Cedi is our 9th or 10th player and get minutes till the playoffs. The is just too much vet depth to be effective right now. Everyone is getting minutes in the low 20's and pretty much all of them are use to getting minutes in the 30's.

I was actually surprised Cedi has gotten this much playing time up to this point. I actually think Lue likes playing him. The problem now is the depth of vet talent and the need to showcase guys for trades. Who knows who will be on the roster after the trade deadline. Hopefully Cedi will get his 10-12 minutes a game till the playoffs after the deadline.
