So Long, David Nwaba

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
What I've been able to see, @jking948 - is Nwaba makes some young mental mistakes on defense when his offense isn't going well. Keep in mind the Bulls were also tanking last year. Once he established himself as a key positive player, many of the other veterans were benched around him.

On offense, he has established a strong baseline game, as the highlights from his 76ers game illustrates. However that was his best game shooting from the outside, maybe in his career. While baseline drives are his bread and butter, he needs to become more respectable hitting corner threes to keep his man from sagging off.
Nwaba. Cedi. Sexton. Nance is s good defensive core

Hopefully his defense is enough to get him minutes at the start of the season. We have a ton of SGs, it will be real interesting how the minutes get split up and who gets benched.

I hated the no defense approach to the pay 2 years. You have to have some gritty guys on a team when things get tough.

Love the signing. He can improve for sure, he already went from not on the radar at all to playing in the NBA.

So stats wise he was better than JR last year. His defensive numbers on 82 games are not stellar, but he would have been our third best defender, if you exclude Wade and Shump.

Not saying he starts but I think it was a solid signing. It also points to JR and Hood being less attractive options to the cavs.together these 2 are 18 million in expiring salaries. I have to believe there is a 2 or three out there on an over the cap underperforming team we could get for that..

i have no idea about him or how good he is. I also know that we as fans sometimes like players our team signs and always see the positive and dust the negatives under the carpet.

What kind of signing is he to our team ? A solid role player, a rotation player or someone who is a starter and could potentially help us make the playoffs ?

Nwaba is a player that has a chance to ruin our tank. I'm dead serious.

With the Lakers 2 years ago he had a On/Of of +9.1. They were +1 with him on the floor and -8.1 with him off the floor.

As an avid tank commander, I dunno what to say...I hope his sorcery doesn't affect us??!?! And for those that want to reach the playoffs, You are welcome...

So, solid role player 20 min a game kind of guy with potential impact on the wins if we put good defensive/transition lineup combinations.

I honestly dont mind a playoff run - So if u say he is good and has not been "Lued" then I will take your word for it.

Nwaba is a late bloomer who will practice and play hard, increasing the intensity and focus of those around him. Carrick Felix and Sir Dom Pointer were drafted to fill this role, Delly took Jarrett Jack's job filling this role so well. The praise has been effusive the past few days, but realistically he isn't a starter. He is likely fighting for minutes, nothing is going to be handed to him.

He has some things still to work on, his outside shooting being the most glaring. I honestly don't think he should be on the court with Sexton too much until one of them becomes more consistent shooting from the outside. But he will be a backup shooting guard who has the potential to take somebody's court time if they are half-assing it in the regular season.

I wouldn’t worry about it we have the best tank commander in the league coaching :alc:
