Derrick Rose: Outta Here!

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
i am really excited by the rose signing. Yea hes not the player he was and wont reach that level again however dont underestimate the difference an environment makes.

Rose had huge injury problems at chitown, couldnt get near a court and that is devestatingly frustrating for proffessional athletes, then there is the criticism that came by some saying he was refusing to play despite dr reccommendations.

He then went to the knicks, who are the knicks.

Coming here and playing with lebron will be a massive change to what hes been used to the past 4 years.. im tipping he turns back the clock and plays strong for us all year.

Plus he is dirt cheap..low risk for massive reward

He did get his step and hops back in NY if you paid attention. He was becoming close to what he was and shooting suffered because he focused so much on becoming the old Rose. Playing the Knicks and his struggle to face what he was is what drove him to look in the mirror and step away. I think Rose knows he can be what he used to be or close to it but that mental pain of fear it will happen again can kill you. If he is mentally ready and passed his physical and he is what 28? He can make a come back off a lifetime story and I am sure he wants that and to win. Perfect fit for both teams at this time as they need each other.

Hypotheticals achieve nothing outside of making fans paranoid, like if I pestered my San Francisco neighbors about Madison Bumgarner's surgically repaired pitching shoulder. What if it will never be the same?!?!

Just don't be a fucking dick. Not hard.

He had surgery? Yikes. I knew they were mega-horrible this year, but that's about it.

I guess my joke misfired though. Sorry about that.

So, will he be ready for camp?

Is a pig's pussy pork?

Actually I don't really know but I assume so and I like to use that expression

Mark my words Derrick Rose will be born again Cleveland.

Rose career has been stifled mentally since LeBron Ruined his illusion of greatness. Now he will find that again and we will beat GSW with a few more pieces.

Rose makes sense with Kyrie in flux. I dont believe a point guard is necessary in return for Kyrie at this point. I know there is a lot if enthusiasm for Phoenix picks and Bledsoe, but IMHO, that trade diminishes us this year, and increases the Lebron exit probability.

If we get a decent point guard, a long athletic and young wing as well as a lottery pick for next season... The core of Phoenix would be Kyrie, Booker and Chriss. That's high scoring, but really nothing else and I can see a power struggle between Booker and Kyrie. So the pick could easily be a top 10 if there's no protection. But more importantly for me and for our future - for the first time since Luke Jackson, LeBron will get the chance to play with a rookie who was a lottery pick. And with the potential I see in Jackson, he can learn so much from LeBron. We haven't had a guy as athletic with actual skill to be a good player since we drafted LeBron. People are saying the trade for Wiggins is good... He's basically a younger Wiggins who tries defensively.

Then you trade Frye and Shump for a big man and I think the team is in good shape.

I had forgotten that Rose tore his meniscus last year. That really sucks.

My understanding is that players are not fully up to speed from that injury for a year (although it could depend on what surgery Rose did to treat the injury, there are different surgeries available). So if Rose tore the knee in April, that means we might not get the "real" Derrick Rose (whatever that is at this point in his career) for some time.

Full speed in 4-6 months is what most guys recover these days

Love it. Hope this is his resurgence and be healthy throughout his Cavalier tenure.

Rehabilitation time for a meniscus repair is about 3 months. A meniscectomy requires less time for healing — approximately 3 to 4 weeks. Meniscus tears are extremely common knee injuries. With proper diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation, patients often return to their pre-injury abilities.

I just saw a Rose highlight video from last year on Instagram. I haven't paid much attention to him over the past few years, but he honestly looked a lot more explosive than I was expecting given his injury history.

I have more faith in rose vs Livingston than deron Williams vs Livingston.

That being said, are we even looking to trade kyrie? Anyone know?
