Derrick Rose: Outta Here!

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Koby Altman just stated in his press conference that Rose will be a backup and he is preparing for that role.

(It could all be just lip service in order to keep Kyrie's value up, but I believe it because Rose will need time to get back into basketball shape after the injury, and will need to stay healthy for the season. Thus a backup role with reduced minutes will be great starting point. )

Given his super extensive injury history and the insignificance of the regular season, I honestly wouldn't play him that much. Ramp up his role as the season goes on. Do that for everyone. It's an aging roster. I know there's a big contingent who believes the lackadaisical regular season last year along with no Limited practices contributed to our downfall but I tend to believe thats more of a personnel issue.

Given his bio-mechanics and anatomy, he will get hurt it's a matter of when. We need to limit his exposure

I'm more of a fan of play him as much as anyone else (same with all of our players), if he gets injured- he gets injured, it is what it is. Why? Because with no team chemistry built, no team defensive strategy built, no team identity built, it does not matter that he's healthy again GS- we will get near swept again.

Obviously first give him any time he needs to heal if he has any ailments, but after that play him and make him work just like everyone else.

If he gets hurt no matter what, why does it really matter that its in the regular season as opposed to a grueling playoff series? Either way we lose him. It's like keeping new dope looking shoes in your closet because you do not want them to get dirty or get fucked up, then you finally pull them out and they don't even fit anymore anyway.

I think 65-70 games is a good number for him if he is healthy...sit him out 1 or 2 games a month just for rest .. Usually on back to backs

Lets just play everyone under 25 until Christmas.
