Derrick Rose: Outta Here!

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Why haven't we signed Nelson yet??? (waivers)

I just assume it's because of the tax implications with waiving Calderon. I figure the front office will look to move him with Shump, Frye, or maybe Korver when Calderon is trade eligible. Or they waive him when they get some under the table indication some other team will pick him up off waivers.

1. He's not significantly better than Calderon. Yes. I mean that.

2. It would cost $10M+ to do that

3. From his perspective, why? Here, once IT comes back, he has no minutes except for when Rose gets dinged up occasionally. In HOU, where he's rumored to be heading, he can likely have a 12-15 mpg rotational role every game, even after CP3 returns

So much better than Wade.

Eh, I think Wade's role is going to be a lot different. Wade is 35 bro, I don't he's even in shape yet. Takes veterans longer to get their body going.

I think we need to take a step back with Wade. He's been a later bloomer as he's gotten older in his career.

We just need him and Rose to stay healthy. Not really that concern over what they bring to the floor. Both can still bring it, just health is always going to be the primary concern with them.

Can Wade get in shape while not being a starter and not getting critical end-of-game minutes? Asking for a friend.

He played GREAT crunch time defense in game 1.

The problem is he needs to play when LBJ and Rose rest. That's when his offense has looked best so far.

Hope Rose isn't hurt too bad. He doesn't fit with Wade but otherwise what a pleasant surprise. Pushes the rock hard in the open court, willing to attack the rim to open teammates, and he's great with the off ball cuts. Creates passing lanes for himself and others that we haven't had from a PG

This team is going to blow dick if we really think we are going to rely on Drose or Dwade at all. I predicted an injury and its already happened game 2? I mean come on, hoping those two will stay healthy is insane by their track records. If no big moves are going to be made we will see the Lebron iso show pre-miami. And who the hell knows if IT will come back the same player-- most people do not fuck up a hip and get back to 100% after, my guesses are he will have lingering issues the rest of his career.

Need our front office to start doing some work, id gladly let the 2018 pick go in hopes of winning it all again this year which may be our last chance for a very long time (if LBJ leaves again).

My god its game two, relax.

This sucks, i really liked what rose was doing so far, now we are stuck with non-existent defense calderon. We will need both d-rose and IT in the play-offs. Its such a shame that they guys are so injury prone because they are still great players, d-wade and d-rose.

Who is the playmaker right now other than LBJ?

GS has 4.

What is your definition of playmaker?

Clearly James and Love are the two most talented all around players, but rose is out there making things happen. I agree with most that wade is showing signs of his age, but he is still very dangerous when he wills himself past that. If IT returns, he would be the clear fourth.

What is really different as compared to GS, is the bench depth. Crowder as a fifth starter is efficient and a good defender, but having JR, TT, and Green off the bench is strong, when IT returns he should push wade or rose to the bench..

If you look at t he GS NO game, GS starters played high minutes to beat NO. They had no answer for Cousins and Davis who were both ridiculously efficient, and even if you credit holiday with being above average, NO gave GS a run, playing 3 on 5..

GS is beatable. You need hard nosed defense, and a lot of offensive weapons. I think we can get there, but it will take time for tthe team to gel. I think the team is working together better with out Kyrie tho..

By the time it matters, IT will be back, and he's a better playmaker than Kyrie. Having 4 playmakers is not a prerequisite to beating GSW anyway.

The entire mindset of trying to out Golden State the Warriors is flawed anyway.
