We wont see the best i.t until he is close to 100%, his jumper isnt falling atm but it will, his pull up is nearly unguardable and when he has full confidence in his body he will attack the basket more often and get to the line /create foul trouble.

Warriors havnt had a taste of what weve got yet

Agreed. Some people here are writing off IT way too early. It took Kyrie awhile before I felt he looked like himself before his knee injury in 2015. We need to be patient because:

1) IT missed more time than Ky. So he’d be more rusty

2) Kyrie was coming back to a team he’d played with months prior. IT on top of missing more time, is playing with a whole new group of guys and is learning the team on the fly.

It will be a couple of months at least before we can come to any conclusions about Him, like it or not.

IT3 just needs to stop talking highly of those Celtics fans. They don't care about IT3 and they are happy to have Kyrie, what he needs to do stop talking highly of Boston city, Celtics fans and whatever else and do his best as our player and make sure his jersey will be hang here in Q. Just show them they were wrong and they will pay for that mistake by losing to Cavs since you are here, that's what you need to do not keep honoring them.

Amazing how a supposedly grown ass man (Pierce) can act like such a Fucking teenage girl over this shit.

Pierce’s argument:
“It’s supposed to be MY day and I asked ALL my friends and they agree!”

He needs to get healthy and that will solve alot of offensive problems as he will be able to constantly break down defenses... defensive side of things will always be a question... Personally everybody is up in arms over this last Golden State game when to me were right there the whole game until Lue ran out some bullshit lineup to start the 4th quarter and left it in way too long as a brick jump shot after jump shot with nobody even attempting to get in the paint or go to the rim... Also the moment the Cavs realize it's better for Korver just to literally stand in the corner and spot-up versus Golden State then to run him off pick-and-rolls where everybody switches and he can't get open off them anyways it will make him a lot more productive versus the Warriors

“Cavs don’t practice, need in game reps”

Sigh.. why do I even bother following this team? We need practice to sharpen our team defense, as we look like absolute shit against good teams.

I understand that we are the oldest team, so excuse some players from practicing. Not the whole damn team.

So does anyone else get the feeling that one of the 'prominent Cavaliers' complaining about too many redundant role players is actually Thomas? Guy usually doesn't hold his tongue, but may know better than to go public with his feelings on this one.

It's not.

The worst part about the Kyrie trade is that it made the first 2/3rds of this regular season not matter at all. That's why the Cavs got even value, they have to be clearly the worse team until Isaiah is fully back. After that, they might break even. Next year, if the Cavs still have that lotto pick, they might even be better long-term.

The problem will always be Kyrie forced a different time table than a veteran team would ideally want. It's a kick to the crotch the Warriors didn't have to endure, and if Kyrie wasn't a pussy neither team would have had to endure.

But Kyrie being a cunthole, we get to wait it out and see. But the Cavs we saw tonight? Never believe this is the best they got in them.

So if this trade meant we were losing the first two thirds of the season anyway, why the fuck did we have to let Kyrie alpha the team and push us around to force a trade on his time line to his choice of team? We had him under contract, I never believed he was going to sit out (would have been terrible for him), but even if he did the threat was meaningless given that we were going to make a trade where we wouldn't have a PG back for months. We could have kept Kyrie with no sacrifice even if he refused to play.

As for breaking even on this trade -- sure, we "might" break even. If IT's jump shot starts to fall like last year then maybe we can break even, but it's far from certain IMO. There's even a chance we'll come out ahead, but I'd say the odds of that are very low. In contrast, barring some crazy thing like Kyrie getting a career ending injury the Celtics and Danny Ainge had a 100% chance of coming out ahead on this trade from day one. They clearly upgraded their PG position, gave up two assets they didn't give a shit about at all (Zizic and Crowder), and one asset that they could easily afford to do without (the Nets pick). So we *might* break even eventually if we're lucky but they were ahead of the game on day one of the season. That's an uneven trade, where there was room to push for more.

Yes, Kyrie is an asshole. But this trade, like so many things, was about the rampant incompetence of our front office and our organization. Don't believe me? Check out this utterly damning piece by Windhorst about how the organization "handled" Kyrie's dissatisfaction (ignoring the problem, then panicking and immediately giving him whatever he wanted as soon as he asked for a trade): http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/...onio-spurs-handled-trade-demands-worlds-apart

Awesome. Jalen Rose came out on national TV and called Pierce (to his face) "Petty" for not letting IT have a tribute. Pierce continued to be a bitch and also said it was something about it being his birthday. Jalen's response, it's alot of people's birthday that day.

no we could not. You can't play a professional athlete especially a millionaire against his will. And here we are talking about a guy who's not answering front office and management phone calls for training camp plans. Yes we could force his hand but this could get ugly quickly which would only decrease his trade value and maybe his overall career but we would benefit neither of them.

I think under the crappy circumstances he put us in, we did the best trade possible out there. There are 2 unknowns yet to this trade;

1) what IT3 will bring to the team
2) what are we going to do with Brooklyn pick

so it's too early to decide who won this trade.

Positives about IT:-

1. He can still penetrate the paint at will.

2. His PnR with LeBron has been refreshing to watch considering he actually passes to the roll man in LeBron. Something that didn't happen much when Kyrie and LeBron ran the PnR.

3. His playmaking as a whole has been good as well imo. Made some really good passes. Just that the entire team has forgotten how to shoot, which is why his assists nos aren't looking that good.

4. IT is still getting used to the NBA intensity and his legs aren't quite there yet which you can see as he isn't jumping as high as he used to. Thats why lot of his shots are getting blocked. Once he is fully healthy and gets consistent run of games, his offense will be back to All-Star level that it was.

So, I am not worried about his offense at all.

Negatives about IT:-

1. THE DEFENSE.

The biggest issue. Not sure what you can do about that defense. We were already a poor defensive unit without IT. Adding IT to that makes us even worse. May be he will fight through the screens harder once he is fully healthy and all but how much will it improve his defense? People can still get their shots off without a lot of issue. Especially when you consider shooters like Curry, Klay, KD etc don't need much time to get their shots off.

Its not like we can hide him on someone against the Warriors either. They have possibly the greatest back-court in BA history with two of the greatest shooters of all time. Their SF is a 7ft bitch who shoots like a shooting guard. That leaves us with Draymond and Iggy. They can keep running the PnRs involving Curry/KD with whoever IT is guarding, be it Draymond or Iggy and bully him. Also, both Draymond and Iggy can post up fairly decently as well.

Shame really because you always want to root for a player like IT. I really do. Seems like a great guy as well. But the defense is a major major issue and the sad fact is we can't do much about that.
