Jae Crowder, See Ya When We See Ya

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Hes a much much better shump.

If it can return to form, we killed that trade. That's before getting to the pick and zizic, and rose and wade.

I'm back to watching the cabs
If Shump could play power forward and wasn’t a dummy . Crowder has to be one of the strongest wings in the league.

Crowder is going to have a huge impact. The way he moves off ball is a treat to watch, as is his defense. Having him and LBJ out there covering all sorts of ground is going to help our defense tremendously. And LeBron will find him on his cuts to the basket and off-ball movement for threes.

It wouldn't shock me if Crowder becomes his best +- partner of all time in a two man combo.

Crowder couldn't be further from Shump. He's bigger, stronger, tougher, a better shooter, smarter, a better cutter, a better rebounder, a team-first player, and they play different positions.

Ones a guy with heart, the other clearly doesn't care.

I can't even say they're a valid comparison because of defense. Shump is on record like a week ago stating that he gets pissed off when people call him a defensive guy and he wants more freedom on offense to create.

Crowder is a guy you love having on your team. Shumpert is a guy who can't be gone soon enough, as far as I'm concerned.

We did destroy the trade, though.

3 d.

He is a better shump. Hes doing exactly what we wanted from shump bht more.

They both play basketball, this is true.

LeBron (with of course some additional playmaking and some added iso solutions now and again) should play like this. Unstoppable.
Don’t get me wrong, LeBron has a lot more to his game, but he can use that extra only if necessary.
This season might (should) be the best that we ever watch in terms of player optimization (LeCavs era).

I think the only think Shump has on crowder is lateral quickness. When Shump wants to (and that’s very rare now a days) he’s good at keeping ball handlers in front of him. Crowder gets blown by a lot. But like I said Shump thinks he’s some scoring machine now and takes plays off on defense now.

He's a terrible above the break three-point shooter, isn't he?

Tied JR for the highest +/- on the team at +7.

He had a well rounded box score.

If it wasn't for his 1-4 from three, he'd of had a fantastic game.

Overall, a GREAT first showing from Crowder.

LBJ/Crowder/JR/Love should be the core of this fucking team.

Those 4 should be on the floor together as MUCH as possible.

Really think he can easily be an all-NBA defensive team guy this year. His impact on that end cannot be overstated.

Offensively, we have to get him 5-7 good looks from three every game. He had to force some shots yesterday that he normally wouldn't need to take. It will come as we build chemistry. That was the first full game Crowder ever played with LeBron.

But Crowder was defending the entire Celtics team. He played stellar team D and didn't back down to anyone individually. He really kept them honest.

He was great down low on the glass, boxing out, and being physical.

He makes the right pass. He understands the offense. He moves the ball

He sets the best screens on the team. Was crushing dudes all night.

Stud pickup. I believe he can have a Draymond-like impact on this team minus the high level playmaking.

Thank god we have him to put on Giannis on Friday instead of an ancient RJ...night and day difference.

Funny to think that we all went into meltdown mode when the likes of Tyreke Evans and Thabo Sefolosha went to other teams just a few short months ago. That coveted "3 and D" we've always yearned for kept escaping our grasp.

Crowder is all that and then some. I don't think you could ask for a better defensive complement for LBJ. I am not sure we have had a player as versatile as him on any LBJ-led Cavs team. Dude is all hustle and no frills. What a breath of fresh air. He shot like shit and still looked like one of the best players on the court last night. Watching Horford do his best tough guy impression because Crowder was getting under his skin was one of the highlights of the game for me.
