Jeff Green: Old

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Jeff Green has all the tools to be a very good role player for us due to his length, athleticism and ability to finish in the paint. But the questions have always been regarding his consistency and mentality. What we have seen in pre-season is flashes of a player who could have been a multiple All-Star. Here's hoping playing alongside LeBron and being in a locker room surrounded by vets like ours will help him justify his potential to a certain extent.

He had the talent to be an all star yes, but here he is being asked to be a role player only for the first time.

That is what so many dont get. He is a disappointment if he is one of your top 3 players, but off the bench he is our 8th best player or so and in that role he will flourish.

No. Anyone's effect on Coward is better than RJ.

Green can make him work harder than RJ can. I'll take that right now.

Green wont play KD much though in my opinion, That is what Crowder is here to do.

Agreed, but there will be times when they matchup with all the switching and scrambling that will inevitably happen. Foul trouble could play a role as well.

Really made some defensive plays against GA today. Cuts to the basket, plays with intensity, and finds the lanes. As long as he does not force shots from the perimeter and knows his role, I am fine.
He's everything defensively people hoped Derrick Williams would be.

This limited role is good for him.

Yeah, remembering his high motor at Georgetown I'm not impressed yet. He is capable of much more. I did love his third quarter buzzer beater because it was so gangster. Ever play tips in a public housing court? Jeff Green technically sent Milwaukee back to zero.

Ive been pleasantly surprised with Green. However, id be interested to see his ratio of touches to shots. It sure seems like he shoots almost everytime he touches it.

I was skeptical about the acquisition because in the past I have been a huge believer of Jeff Green. But after him failing to live up to those expectations constantly, especially after his Memphis stint, I gave up hope on him. However, he looks like a great acquisition for us till now. His defense while not spectacular has been solid. Did a good job on Markannen who was killing us till then. And he is and has always been great at finishing arund the paint when he is on the move. I still would like him to imrpove his 3-point shooting, especially from the corners just to keep the defense honest. But till now, he has been good. Needs to keep it up!

I know many, as well as I, were skeptical about the whole

"Ty Lue can get the best out of Jeff Green, especially next to LeBron..." thing..

But god damn if Jeff Green isn't giving us insane production for a minimum contract guy...

3 point shot needs to come back, and he's a monster minimum addition.

But our margin of victory so far in our 3 wins has been 29, and Green is +18 on the floor in those 3 games...he's helping this team win, which people didn't think he'd be able to do.
