Love this guy.
Yeah...this won't be a pretty thread if people decide to go back and grave dig early comments.

I took a look back there and surprisingly there were a lot of people on board with the signing. Of course there were some nay-sayers, but I think some of the worst were banned/deleted based on some of my own responses to posts that apparently vanished.Yeah...this won't be a pretty thread if people decide to go back and grave dig early comments.
I think he should start.
Just move LeBron back to PG, but let Green defend pgs.
We keep starting to slow on offense. Should start until IT is healthy or Rose decided to play again.
Yea I don't remember him being a mega athlete for a 24 year old but he's without a doubt a mega athlete for a 31 year old. It's really strange. I knew he was a pretty good athlete coming to the Cavs, I didn't expect him to be a GREAT athlete. He also didn't have a team with playmakers like LeBron and Wade on the floor with him at all times getting him easy buckets.Green is going to have quite a highlight package from this year, every other game he seems pulls off a proper wow play. His athleticism is startling for a 31yo, just seems to explode up. Did not pay that much attention to his earlier career, makes me wonder just how athletic he was at 23/24, and why he did not establish himself an All Star caliber player, the raw materials are there.

Starting Calderon is pointless, he is a non factor on both ends. He had a good start during the streak but guys are finishing everything around him as he can’t stop dribble penetration.
It may screw up chemistry slightly but with IT/TT coming back we might as well try something because he gets beaten so badly without a screen that even help defense is nonexistent by then. Rotate JR/Bron/Green on point guards and then leave Green in for extended minutes to play with Wade/Korver/Frye until LeBron re-enters the game in the 2nd quarter.
He was never a smart basketball player and got stuck into a tweener zone. Not strong enough or good enough from 3 to play the 4 and too slow/lack of dribbling to play the 3.
Cavs have essentially reduced his role to the 4 only off the bench and since the NBA is now going tweener all the time it's helped him solidify the role. In the beginning of the year you saw the Cavs trying to iso him which was a mistake and now they only get the ball to him on the move or he only has to do one move (shoot or attack the basket).
The simplified role has allowed some other areas to shine like defense which was a big surprise. He's taken over the RJ role well with Wade being our Iggy
I don't think he's a non-factor. LeBron doesn't like having to always bring the ball up and initiate the offense - Calderon takes care of that. He can can the open jumper and he keeps the ball moving.
Pathetic signing..
While I love the Green signing, you reserved these very words for the Indians' signing of a Mr. Austin Jackson. Hopefully they prove truer in this instance than that one (not that the NBA has "pennants".)More like a pennant winning move
