You do realize that Korver simply wasn't ready to play in game one, don't you? I mean, do you know where KK's head and body were at before game one better than Lue does? I don't think so. Every interview with both Korver, Lue, and anyone else who spoke on this all said the same thing, Korver needed a little more time before he was ready to contribute in any meaningful way.

Ugh, bullshit.

If that's the case, why did he dress let alone play a few minutes in Game 1?

Coming back off that point, you do understand that after his near 2 week absence he played in games 78, 79, 80, and 81 and was rested on Game 82.. Why did he play those 4 games if he "wasn't ready to contribute" considering we were fighting for our playoff seeding?

You're acting like this was his first game back, that's not true at all. Those 4 games he played to end the season he played 14 minutes, 22 minutes, 19 minutes and 16 minutes.

He was nursing a 'sore foot' according to Lue, had absolutely nothing to do with his mental state of mind. Here's the article with Lue quotes directly:

Since you're Mr. Know It All today, can you find actual evidence of this being said? You said Korver, Lue, and anyone else all said this... I provided an actual article to back up my point, can you post one to back up yours?

In game 1 Korver was 0-3 and a turnover in his 4 minute. It's what started the run by Indy. He came in we were down 5-4 and when he left four minutes later we were down 14-4. He isn't fully to blame for the lack of offense but that lineup didn't work.

In this series, Korver needs to be on Bogdanovic. He is too slow to defend any of their guards and not strong enough to be on their PFs. That means LeBron need to either defend one of the guards or their PF with Korver on the floor. In game one that didn't happen.

I think Korver has to keep starting in this series to make it easier for him to match up during his minutes. I'm not sure if JR fits in the same category though. I think both him and Hood played better in their previous roles.

Just from listening to what Korver himself has been saying. I think you need to go back and listen to his words, how he said them, in all the interviews over the last few weeks. Lue texted him after game one to feel him out and from everything I've seen and heard this was the first point where Korver was ready find his rhythm and go full bore after the death of his brother, the lingering foot injury, and Korver being sick. Maybe the foot and the illness were cover ups for Korver not being mentally ready because of the grieving process, IDK. But everything indicates he simply wasn't completely ready in game one, it was a transition game to break the ice after what he went through.

On the flip side where Korver "sparked the Indiana run" in Game 1, how many times did he stop the Indiana run last night? Look back at last night's game at these particular moments: A.) When he sprinted back and took a charge on Stephenson right before half, and B.) sprinted back and dove on a loose ball infront of our bench, called a timeout and it stopped another Indiana run..... What I'm saying is, judging him on his 3-4 minutes in Game 1 doesn't really seem fair considering 90%+ of our team was shitty for 90%+ of the game.

And I agree on Korver guarding Bogdanovic.. He guarded him a lot last night and for the most part seemed to do pretty well. Athletically he's about the only Indy player we can put him on. And Korver's smart enough to know Bogdanovic can shoot it so he'll need to close out higher and run over top of screens to get him off the 3 point line.

I'm confident we'll see the best that Korver has to give from here on out. But even Korver can be streaky at times, we need him to keep a hot hand to get past this first round.

In Korver's interview before game 2 he said he got really sick that day. I think it was illness and some lingering from the foot. I think the 3 days off in between games actually helped for real.

He said he was really tired after the game too. He is the oldest guy on the team no matter how rough Calderon looks. Gotta be careful with his minutes.

I’d like to point this out and everyone who gave me shit for it.

a reminder, just because someone is on your team it doesn’t mean you have to blindly defend them. Makes you look stupid.

I was really hoping that when we resigned Korver it was to try to get value back from giving up a first round pick for him. His age and athleticism just doesn't bold well to being an effective player especially when he isn't knocking down shots. Even as a smart defender, it's hard for him to overcome the speed and strength that he lacks with the positions he can play. Too slow to defend alot of guards in the league and not strong enough to go up against forwards. He has become such a limited play in the league now. I hope the front office sees it and can use his team friendly deal to get back some value this summer.

3 point shooting was something this team was always good at. It has just been gotten terrible this season.

Wish this team had any rhythm. They would buy these pacers

We need to run all of our offense through Kyle when LeBron is too tired to ISO and dish, posting up Kevin is a terrible idea and a wasted possession, Love should be viewed as a worse defender Ryan Anderson, just stand in the corner space the floor and get out of the way.

Need to run actions for Kyle using non stop movement, use him like GS uses Klay and Steph with non stop screens and cuts to get him open, this alone will open up driving lanes for the rest of the team and will make us look so much better.
