Goodbye Larry Nance Jr.

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Crats, you need to get your head out of pussies and start watching LNJ more.

Paul Pierce? WTF!

Larry Nance has no offensive skills like Pierce did. Be it his shooting or post-up.

I think a rich-man's TT is the best comparison.

He plays like a worse version of rookie Griffin on offense without the mid range ability and ball handling ability. He does show an ability to handle the ball and pass. He is a good passer in my opinion and has the potential to run the break ala Griffin/Green.

On defense he is better than Griffin by miles, but his game and how he plays it just looks exactly like Griffin.

I see LNJ being compared to a better version of Tristan, a potential Capela, and a poor man's Gordon. I just don't see any of those. I've always thought he was more like Paul Pierce.

damn didn't realize capela is only 6'9
looks way longer

Blake even during his rookie year could run PnRs.

Don't think Larry could ever do that. I do agree he seems like a smart passer but he isn't someone who is going to create for others with his playmaking. More like a player who will move to ball to an open man.

Sure. There is no direct comparison for him, but maybe he isn't finished product like TT was coming out of Zona. Atleast as far as his metrics go, he has improved in each season so far and he made a big leap this year despite breaking his hand and being out for some time.

Being a member of the Cavs or being compared to Paul Pierce?

His only saving grace is that he is from Ohio. The way we trashed our earlier acquisitons he really should be more careful.

We fucking tear IT a new one, poor guy.

Guy seems like a great fit in the 'modern NBA'. He finishes above the rim and runs the floor as well as anyone his size. He's a solid rebounder and plays smart.

I don't think he's much of a rim protector, so that leaves some question marks when it comes to rotations. I would assume he slots in as the starting power forward until Love comes back and then comes off the bench as the third big when Love returns.

Tristan has been a big downer this year, but I think he's more of a center than Nance is. Team could also go back to Love playing the 5 and starting Nance at the 4, however.

We fucking tear IT a new one, poor guy.

IT earned everything he got. He should have kept his mouth shut, and worked on supporting this team. Instead, he blabbed to the media every chance he got, and constantly compared our organization to Boston. Fuck that dude.

Also, he was a moron for saying the whole "back up the Brinks truck" comment. He basically signed his walking papers out of Boston with that. He would've been great coming off the bench there as an offensive spark/6th man, and a local favorite for the rest of his career. A perfect backup to Kyrie. Instead, he's a loud mouth whose game no longer backs up his talking.

Good riddance.

That is FAR FROM something I'd define as "only saving grace." We take pride in our local heritage.

My first Cavs' game as an 8 year old was watching Larry Nance run with the Cavs. I can't fucking wait to buy a Nance jersey. It will be the first one I've bought in YEARS.

I didn't mean it like that... What I meant was that he is probably going to be treated like a god because of his origin whether he is good or bad, but he should still be careful with his wishes because of how we treated IT,Crowder,Rose, Shump and the other misfits. Sure, most of them deserved it like you said, but I don't think other FA's are going to be thrilled playing for us and Lebron after watching this shit show.

Anyways, it was a joke :p I watched a documentary about Nance and his struggles or triumph for that matter with his Crohn's disease... a very very good guy.
